Angry Dog is definitely one of my favorite burger places... burger is always cooked as ordered, juicy, great flavor, and the fries are homecut potato style fries not the frozen cheap-a$$ ones. Haven't had much else here but the salsa, guac and chips are friggin awesome too!!!

I am big into the calm beyond an atmosphere that the restaurants I go to provide and this is one of my favorites. If you live around Dallas or just visiting I'd definitely recommend stopping by. Their burgers are out of this world!
Every single time I get the craving for a hamburger there is no place better than the Angry Dog. Awesome beer selection, service is always great but never fast. Fried pickles are spicy and super tasty.
This is the one place I take all of my out of town guests.

Amazing cheese burger....the best I've ever had.\r \r I order it with American Cheese, mayo, tomato...medium....there's nothing like it. \r \r They get the perfect char on the burger...and the bun is grilled...it's fantastic.\r \r Not to go unmentioned....their chicken fingers, spiedies chicken sandwich, the Angry Dog hotdog....so freakin good. \r \r the staff there are quick, friendly and accomodating...\r \r one of my favorite restaurants...ever!!

My friends and I sought the best burger in Dallas. AD won. The meat was our favorite out of 6 burgers. Although I will say that the burger at Hully and Mo's had the best bun and the fries were excellent if you like crispy. If you could put the meat from AD on the bread from Hully and Mo's that would be a BURGER. Also the sports bar atmosphere at Hully and Mo's was more to my liking.

You must get their Angry Chicken Sandwich. Perfect marinated chicken on an onion bun..SO good!

I love the burgers at Angry Dog. They season the meat perfectly and it just melts in your mouth. The fries are just fries but the special seasoning makes them much better. I asked them for their secret but they would not reveal it. It's much better since they went to non smoking. My only complaint is that a lot of people bring infants and newborns there. I'm not quite sure why they can't get a babysitter. It is a bar not a nursery. Overall a great place and we are regulars.

I'm posting a my review/email here b/c the email link through their website doesn't work.\r \r Went to your place the other day for lunch because the line at Twisted Root was ridiculous. We walked right in to your place and got spots at the bar. I used to crave your burgers and go there every Sunday. I was reminded why I've stopped going. I ordered medium rare and got a dried up medium patty. The kicker, (which seems very simple) was that the cheese wasn't even melted nor appeared to have been attempted. Just room temp processed shredded cheese from a bag sprinkled on top. I guess it's the simple things that used to keep y'all on my mind. I own my own business and know it's a struggle to keep the quality up, that's why I thought I'd let y'all know my experience. Cheers, Jack.

Was looking to sample the "":best burger in Dallas"" as stated on a number of sites and within many reviews. \r While I would recommend this place to anybody looking for a solid burger and overall bar food experience I have to question whether it is truely the best burger in Dallas. \r The burger was good, service was very good and the beer was cold. I was there at noon on a Saturday and it was packed which did not seem to cause any service problems at all.\r Overall a good ecxperience but I will continue my search for the ""best in Dallas"" burger.

I moved to Dallas a year ago and have made it my mission to find the best burger spots in the city. Angry Dog is easily the winner. I'm not really into the bar atmosphere, especially the smoke, and Angry Dog is smoky and noisy. Those might warrant strikes against the place but I only go here for takeout and, if you have the best burger in a city as big as Dallas (with so many great burger joints), you get 5 stars.\r \r The burgers are perfectly seasoned, taste like the meat has been freshly ground, and they don't mind cooking a burger rare, which is how i like 'em. The grilled onions don't come standard and they're worth asking for. The burger is a 1/2 pounder - big but not overwhelming - and it comes with good fries. They can be a little cold by the time I get home, which is a minor complaint.\r \r I've also had the ""Angry Dog"", which violates my rule for hot dogs in that you can't really eat it with your hands. If that doesn't bother you, it's great. Lots of chili and cheese and other good stuff (like those grilled onions). \r \r The service has been quick every time I've gone.\r \r I've noticed a ton of fake reviews (sound like ads - only one review by the reviewer - always 5 stars) in the Dallas Citysearch pages and have decided to start doing my own reviews to combat this a little bit. It is not surprising that Angry Dog's reviews all look legitimate because their food is actually that good. I'm not really a bar person, but I imagine it's a pretty cool place if you don't mind the noise and smoke.\r \r If you like burgers, you must try Angry Dog. If you like chili dogs and don't mind the knife and fork, that's probably a must try as well.

If you are looking for a very tasty burger this is the place to go. My boyfriend and I visit the dog at least once every two weeks. Whenever we have company this is the place we take them. The burgers are juicy and have so much flavor. They also are a very good size for what you pay . We tend to visit many of the number one spots on citysearch to check them out for ourselves and the dog has defiantly proven time and time again why they are at the top year after year. We have noticed that sitting at the bar has better service than sitting at a table. The bartenders and staff remember us when we come in and are always friendly and tend to us without being asked. They care about their customers unlike other places we have visited (twisted root)! If you like cheese fries theirs are excellent with a ton of cheese. Check em out you won't be dissapointed!!

BEWARE! Didn't have a chance to eat. Parking lot scammers booted my car the minute I walked away to get change. $100.00 fine. BEWARE!

Angry Dog has had the best burger in Dallas for many years. They make it just the way you want it - no pile of stuff on the side you don't want on your burger. And definitely use their spice blend on your fries. Mmm Mmm.

Go with the burger, you won't be disappointed! Angry Dog is a great lunch spot and also a good happy Hour hang out. Sadly Deep Ellum feels dead, but once you get inside the Angry Dog feels the same as always.

There aren't many places in Deep Ellum that are worth going to anymore. But if you are in the area, try Angry Dog. The food is delish and the service is pretty good. I've never had to wait for a table. Angry Dog is dark and has a tavern feel. Its a good way to start a night of drinking in that area. Its not one of my favorite places, but I would say it is a Dallas must. 8-15-08

Very good and simple burgers. I would definitely rate this place as one of the best burger places in Dallas I am a big fries lover and I can truly say that Angry Dog has the BEST fries I have ever had. They even stayed crisp after I finished my meal.

How many post-beatles-at-dada dinners have I had at the dog? How many root beers (awesome root beers by the way) have my kids downed there? How many post-divorce dates ended up there? (I dunno, but I married one of 'em!) Who knows. All I can say is that the grilled tuna sandwich with pasta salad is something I'll re-live in my nursing home days. Yum.
Good Burger Joint, not as good as Fudruckers but comes in a close 2nd. Nice Location
the best burger fast service awesome job

The burgers at Angry Dog are truly the best in Dallas. However, the one complaint we have, and I have heard expressed by many people, is that this place is crawling with babies and small children. This is not normally a problem in a burger joint EXCEPT THIS PLACE IS A BAR IN DEEP ELLUM that happens to have fabulous burgers! It is ultimately a bar for over 21 adults and certainly not a place one would expect young families or an environment young children should be exposed to. There just seems to be no limit in this town where people feel it is acceptable to bring their young children...even a bar.
