I had seen this place but never had an interest in stopping in until I was checking out at the Tom Thumb just a few doors away. A young man named Crockett told me they have the best wings way better than Wingstop when I told him I was on my way to Wingstop to pick up an order. 3 days later for lunch I decided to visit after viewing their website the food looked so good, I was excited to try their food and I wasn't disappointed . I ordered the chicken philly cheesesteak combo that comes with wings , celery sticks, pink lemonade and ranch dressing. I ordered lemon pepper wings. Since they were out of menus I wrote their menu in a notebook I had in my purse. I ordered a side of french fries when I noticed on the menu they wouldn't be part of the combo I ordered. I was totally satisfied and amazed how good the chicken philly cheesesteak was it is to die for. I have a new hot spot not far from work or home that I can visit. I took a pic and posted it on facebook to let friends know of this little gem.
Being Chinese, I am very picky about my Chinese food and I've had a hard time finding a place that is decent that isn't a trek away from home. My search ends at Royal China because they have not only great dishes that are exceptional in presentation and taste, they also have delicious dim sum-like dumplings that can quell anybody's hunger. Whether your in the mood for a feast or just a few bites, this is the place to go. You can tell the owners put their heart and sole into this restaurant and their warm and generous personalities make you feel right at home. You can ask them any question or for a recommendation and they're more than happy to help. Dining at Royal China is a personal experience. It is a genuine hidden jewel of a restaurant that much of Dallas has yet to discover. For those who have unearthed this mainstay of 34 years, we are fortunate enough to know that we can always count on this great establishment for a memorable and delicious meal.
My husband and I are avid fans of Food Network's Cupcake Wars. One of the judges is the founder of Sprinkles Cupcakes. After being inspired to buy cupcakes, we tried several in our neighborhood and found them to be dry and flavorless with sickenly sweet icing. After numerous recommendations to go to Sprinkles, we drove from Fort Worth to Dallas (about 50 miles round trip) to find out what all the fuss was about. Holy cupcakes, Batman! The cupcakes were perfect in every way: super moist, just-right sweetness and over the top delicious. It was worth the drive. It would be worth the $35 delivery fee if we choose to have them delivered next time. Luckily, it appears the snarky ladies at the counter described by previous reviewers must have been replaced. Everyone at Sprinkles was warm, inviting and extremely helpful. Bonus: they offer a vegan and a gluten free cupcake!
