Wafer thin wood oven baked pizza: tasty and if you are Italian this should remind you of the best of Rome-style pie. For me it was just OK: the Margherita was a little too bland for a very basic pie. It helped the edges were nicely crisped in the wood oven though. Waitstaff were terrible: two ladies with little service experience working in the place and an inattentive manager behind the counter who turn on the air conditioning when the temp outside was 45degrees. Had to have a talk with them about that one. Hopefully this is just a fluke and they will get fired soon before the owner starts losing customers.
I love this location because it is close to entertainment, restaurants, public transportation. The store is well maintained and I have no problems finding quality vegetables, fruits, meats, etc. Where can you go and buy tilapia and get two free or pork and get one free. I'm from Atlanta and never saw any sales like this. They need to open up stores in Atlanta. If you want something to snack on they have the best wings by far. Standing in line is very much worth the wait especially when you are saving money. Love, Love, Love this store.
I have been shopping here for years. They continue to amaze me how courteous and helpful they are to everyone. I have never shopped at a Tom Thumb that even compared to the friendliness of the Mockingbird store. Everyone says hello and asks if they can help you. After I was in there a couple of times they would remember my name and always would talk to me like we had been friends forever. I have even talked to people who go out of their way to shop at this location.
