Montaluce Winery & Restaurant

It is absolutely gorgeous here! Although Montaluce is located well off the beaten path, it is worth the trip for the views alone. I couldn't believe I had the pleasure of spending the day there. We began with brunch. Our server shared that most of the vegetables used were grown at a garden at Montaluce, and that the food was so fresh they didn't even own a freezer. First, we tried the irish coffee donuts (3 mini sized) which were tasty. I had the french toast with bacon and potatoes, and ordered a side of scrambled eggs. I didn't even have to doctor up the eggs like I usually do....they were perfect as served. The syrup for the french toast was a bit different--it wasn't your usual maple and was light in color and taste. The potatoes were yummy. My friends enjoyed their meals as well. As for the wine...I ordered the white wine flight which was 5 samples of their white wine offerings. It was filling. And there was live music. The performers were great.

The only thing I didn't like was the amount of yellow jackets flying around us outside. There were several nests around. Not sure if they can do much about that, though. But it was definitely worth driving from Atlanta for, and I hope I can return soon.
