great little sushi place

Just got to tx and was looking for sushi. Found this place in a little shopping center on grant rd in cypress. Sushi was very good and very fresh. Prices were about average. Very friendly owners and great service.

Absolute Gem
My husband and I discovered Sushi and Grill during Hurricane Ike when we were trolling the streets in seach of a/c and food that hadn't seen the inside of a can.
The sushi is incredibly fresh and imaginative--ask the owner to surprise you and he'll whip together something unexpected and yummy.
They also prepare all the traditional favorites including California Rolls, Spider Rolls and Spicy Tuna Rolls.
Try some of the creative rolls that borrow from Bayou culture as well as Japanese, especially the Lafeyette Roll which is topped off with crawfish and the Cypress Roll with avocado and smoked salmon.
For those who like their fish cooked there are also a variety of dishes that are served hot and many that do not feature fish at all. The miso soup is particularly good here, as well as the crab wontons.
I highly recommend this friendly and intimate sushi haven and I am so glad first class sushi made it's way to the middle of suburbia! -
Excellent Restaurant
My husband and I and my neighbors went to this restaurant 2 yrs ago just to try it out. It was wonderful. It is small and quiet where you can enjoy conversation with those eating with you. Since then we have taken a lot of friends and family there and it has become some of their favorite place to eat also. The owners are wonderful friendly people. They have courteous and helpful waite staff. The food is very tasty and always a joy to eat. We had never eaten at a Sushi place before so didn't know what to expect. Our experience was one that everyone should experience. We eat there at least twice a month!
