The dining experience lacked to be desired, slow service, the food was just OK.
But in the meantime, our SUV was parked in the front parking lot, facing the highway, about 50-60 ft from front door and you guessed it, someone broke into the vehicle by smashing the front passenger window, damaging the vehicle along with stealing my Radar detector.
Now, if this was an isolated incident, I may not have given it too much thought, but my understanding from the deputy sheriff of which I called to investigate and file a report, and the reatuarant manager stated that this was not the only or isolated incident. This location has been opened since May of this year and this has been the 5th incident to date. The officer and the manager both confirmed this information. The officer also stated that no security personnel protects or walks the site, nor are there surveillance cameras. Again, confirmed by the manager.
Apparently, these incidents have been reported to higher management, however to no avail or attempts to protect the patrons of this very popular restaurant. My question is, WHY?
Both my wife and I are very upset by the event and believe that if we had stepped out minutes sooner, we may have been attacked, injured or worse.
Five incidents, a trend makes and a very serious and aggressive investigate should be immediately conducted. Only broken glass, damaged vehicle and loss property in today's event, but next time could be an attack, bodily harm, assault or worse.
Maybe someone should stay in the car to protect your stuff while the rest of your party, enjoys a lackluster dining experience.
