My daughter went to Wonderland Chinese School for three years and loved it! The school setting is like a park as there is plenty of space for children to run and play. In addition to play areas, they have two play structures for children. Upon joining the school, our daughter did not know how to speak Chinese. We were amazed that in a short time she was counting to 20, singing songs, and was able to communicate in Chinese. She was also learning new songs in English that were amusing to us. The first test of a good school is how your children react when you take them to the school and pick them up from it. Our daughter looked forward to going to Wonderland Chinese school with excitement and talked about school all weekend long. Her classmates were of good families who also taught their children good manner. That was important to me that our daughter play and interact with children from like-minded families. The teachers were kind and took good care of our daughter. She always came home with different craft items that she had created in class. Also, when your child comes home safely everyday it is the first sign of good supervision. In fact, I must say that in the three years that my daughter went there my daughter never suffered so much as a scratch on her body. Further, I never witnessed or heard of teachers not supervising the children. I do know one thing for sure – our daughter loved her teachers and they loved her back. The most wonderful thing about the Wonderland Chinese School was the director, Ms. Evelyn. When I first met her she told me that she had over 30 years of experience in early education and education. Itwas clear that she was experienced because she ran a tight ship with her management and organizational skills. The teachers that I interacted with really liked working for Ms. Evelyn as well. Most importantly, Ms. Evelyn loved every kid who attended the school. I observed that firsthand. My daughter loved her and the attention she gave to her. Ms. Evelyn truly cared about every child who attended he school. I know that I am not alone in saying that because when you go to the office you see how every child hugs her good bye before they leave. When she went to the class room too, the children would run to her to hug her. To me that is a sure sign of a good director and manager because as a parent of a young child I know that children do not lie or hide their feelings! Not to mention, Ms. Evelyn’s desk is full of thank you cards from parents and also children. If you are looking for a loving atmosphere for your children to play, learn and thrive, Wonderland Chinese School is for you.
