C & D Self Storage

My son arranged to have a unit here. Building is an old school house with rickety plywood units in one of the rooms. After my son paid 1st month's rent and security deposit (which they were very happy to set up a meeting for), it quickly became a nightmare dealing with these flakes. We went to pick him up from college and drop off some items, and even after making an appointment (never have I ever had to make an appointment to get into any other storage unit I have ever rented), the person was a no-show. Upon calling them to find out what was going on, my son was told "I am busy, but will be there in an hour". We decided to have some lunch, and tool around town, then called approx. an hour later and was told "I'm still busy and may not be able to make it today". On our insistence, Beth finally showed up, at which point we told her we wanted to cancel the contract (son had only gotten the unit 3 days prior), and wanted the security deposit as well as a pro-rated portion of the 1st months rent refunded. After Beth called the owner (her mom), she said her mom insisted my son didn't make the appointment with the "appropriate person"...what BullSH!T. We will be calling to talk with the owner this coming week and will post again the result of that conversation. Right now, I can only give say that I wish I could give NEGATIVE stars!!!!
