Better Built Lumber

I was very disapointed in the unprofessional attitude of the sales rep. - Bert. After stopping in the store on Cicero Ave to follow up with a quote he was supposed to have given me over a week ago --- I called him (from his own store) and asked him why he hadn't gotten back to me with the quote promised... and he told me that "he didn't want to work with home remodelers like myself." He literally said "we don't want your business buddy." (some salesman this guy is)

When I told the man in the store what Bert had said...he was silent and just shrugged his shoulders.

It must be nice to have so much business that you can tell customers to "go-away." And with the attitude of this company, I think all of us should "go-away" - go far, far away from this company.

Save yourself the trouble.
Horrible customer service from installers.

One of them, who wouldn't confirm his name, but everyone kept calling him Orlando, tried to charge me an extra $80 to install something that was already part of the work order.

Beth and Heather ( customer service rep and office manager) were rude and raised their voices because I asked about the sensors that appear to be malfunctioning. They told me to, " Do the work yourself, I'm not gonna keep going over this with you".

I wouldn't recommend this business to anyone's worst enemy. STAY AWAY FROM BETTER BUILT GARAGES!

I was very happy with my new garage door and opener. The gentlemen who installed it was very professional and did the job in 2 hours. He had 27 years experience and didn't mind my asking questions or watching him. The door is perfect for us. Thank you Better Built and Larry for a job well done.

The garage they built my family was very beautiful. I am very happy with it and will recommend Better Built to everyone I can.

The Salesman I worked with explained everything about a new garage in great detail, very professional job. They provided addresses of completed garages which was a great help so I could see work they had previously done. Demolition, concrete crew, and carpenters were extremely professional, courteous and very efficient. It was a wonderful experience. I would definitely recommend Better Built!

Better Built Garages is not what say they are, they do not stand behide there work and there management is always wright and the paying customer is wrong in there eyes. They hire very unprofessional contractors that would never make it in a union setting. They did more damage to my property they I expected I had my Garage started in May 2010 and till today July 2010 it still is not done. Bob is avoiding my phone calls and will not return they. My Garages failed inspection three times. So if you are going to use Better Built please be careful and and inspect all of the work before you pay them in full. Because as soon as they have the check in there hand you will not see them again.
