I took my Harmon Kardon AVR510 receiver for repair as I found this business was listed with Harmon Kardon as an authorizes repair facility. Also, the storefront suggest they are an authorized repair facility for numerous manufacturers. Bill, the owner, was able to find the problem within a few hours and called to let me know what the cost would be and the amount of time it would take to fix the issue, before making any repairs. When the repairs were complete Bill called and let me know (about a week total and within the time frame quoted) and Bill also tested the receiver in front of me to show me that it was functioning properly. I would recommend anyone this company to anyone who needs any type of home audio/video repair.
I find the guy with the "red blinking light" and the one star review to be highly suspect. 20/20 or some "investigative" TV show aired awhile back catching evil TV repair guys in the act of defrauding stupid people that don't know how to use a remote. Anyway, Bill is very professional. He calls back when he says he will. He charges $10 to look at your gear and then lets you know what he can or can't do and how much it will cost. He did a great job repairing an H/K receiver of mine and my experience was great. He certainly spent more than an hour tracking down and fixing the problem on my receiver yet he charged me the 50 bucks he estimated the fix to be. Honest and professional and good work.
My LCD TV just went out I called the place I bought it from did not get any help here I go and called Newport tv repair from an ad at yelp, Newport TV answered and sent a tech at the house in 2 hours the minute he checked it he knew the problem took it to his shop gave me a receipt and for some reason I trusted him taking it to his shop and promised to bring it back in 2 days..wow what a service he brought it back in time and it works like new. i trusted my feeling and this guy is for real. I would recommend them to all my friends.Thank you, I keep the good work and I am sure people appreciate service like that..
