U & I Restaurant

I had the worst food experience tonight. I ordered coconut Shrimp and Surf and Turf at the same time. The waiter forget to place the entrée order. I finished the shrimp plate, he finally come to ask how the meat to be cooked which I told him when ordered " Medium Rare", I waited for 20 minutes before it comes. I cut the meat, it was cooked Rare. I told him to recook the meat. After 5 minutes plus, it came back as Rare. He told me to cut and see, I couldn't even use the Steak knife to cut the meat with a lot of tendons, The kind that wrapped around the muscle meat. I told the Waiter, he insisted that is Fat not tendon. H took the meat away and cut the tendon with a sharper knife and took it back and said that it is fat. I stopped argue with him. I ate, there are a lot of chewy tendon inside. I have to split it out 1/3 of it. Both of the meat and lobster tail has no taste and feel like been frozen for awhile. I lost my appetite afterward and couldn't order dessert and left. I would not recommend this restaurant to my friends after this experience.

10oz Ribeye was the best. Don't fill up on the awesome rolls.

Have been there twice, both times enjoyed the food, service, atmosphere and price. Will return.

Local restaurant that is an excellent place to eat for anyone visiting. I go often and each time I am extremely satisfied with the food and service. No matter what plate is selected, it is delicious and made to order. There is so much offered that you will NOT leave hungry. A generous variety of menu items from steaks, seafood, appetizers, salads, sandwiches, mexican and italian food choices, kid menu, desserts and beverages (wine, cocktails and frozen cocktails, softdrinks, tea and various types of coffee) but visit their website for their complete menu selections.

The calamari is imitation, way overpriced also...alot of other restaurants in the area that I will frequent, not U & I anymore.

The last time i was in Corpus Christi i went to U&I manthe food they have there is so good the services is the best i had expirience before so i just can wait to go back to Corpus Christi n go to U&I Restaurant..

We were in Corpus Christi in March of 09 with our grand-kids. Ran into some friends of ours (from our area) who go to Corpus frequently and took us to U & I . It was wonderful !! The food was great and the service was very good ! I can't wait to go back in July.
