Choosing to have my vision corrected at the Berkeley Eye Center was by far the best decisions that I have made. The staff maintains a level of professionalism and courtesy that far exceeds the standard norm. They provide detailed explanations of procedures and never exhibited the sales tactics often found in other offices. Essentially, the staff never seemed to pressure me into making any decision. In fact, they encouraged me to carefully consider my options before making any final decision. I found that this passive behavior relieved any apprehension that I had been feeling regarding this serious and life changing decision and allow me to focus on the details more effectively. From the moment you enter into the Berkeley Eye Center it is evident that customer service is the primary focus of this business. From day one, every appointment that I had started at the scheduled time. In fact, on several occasion I was seen early. This was such a comfort as I often find myself the victim of long waits at other doctor offices. I applaud the effective use of time management that Berkeley Eye Center employs. The actual surgery for correcting my visions was an overall success. While there was some slight discomfort immediately after the surgery, it quickly subsided. Though it has only been a month, my vision has continued to improve daily. I am still amazed at how effective the procedure was. Having relied on glasses and contact for over 15 years has made adjusting interesting. I find myself continually reaching up to adjust my glasses or venturing into the bathroom to remove my contacts at night. Considering that this is the only complaint I have found reinforces the fact that the Berkeley Eye Center is both an effective and practical option for correcting vision. I look forward to many more years of clear perfect vision and encourage any individual contemplating this procedure to schedule the free evaluation.
Always busy. But this company has been so great to my family. They honored their warranty without any hassle.. in fact they helped:) I am grateful to have this company be my place for lenses :) I would recommend Eyemart expess to the Queen if she needed a glasses :))
Employees do not even address customers, if asked anything they tell the customer to sign in. I waited 45 minutes for a glasses pick up. That is ridiculous. The other location at Northwest Blvd is much better and way more efficient. Never coming to the SPID location again.

I recently got my LASIK done here on 4/29/2016. Doctor Spengler and his staff at the Corpus Christi location were excellent. From start to finish they answered every question provided loads of information and were friendly. Even after the procedure they continue to provide excellent service and willing to answer any question they won't just send you away. Here's a timeline of events 4/21/2016 Initial consultation and exam They do an initial screening and give you all the options available as well as the financial options. The lady explains the differences in procedures and asks which would you like, and discusses the entire process to you. I chose to proceed ASAP with LASIK and had a consultation with Dr. Spengler in a separate consultation. 4/26/2016 Second Consult 5 days later I returned were he reconfirms your eyes and the staff gets the "eyeprint" they use to treat your eyes. Confirmation of surgery day.
We were on vacation in Port Aransas, from Austin, and my daughter discovered she had forgotten her contacts. We called several offices in Corpus as did our doctor's office and we luckily found Dr. Pena's office. They were very cordial and helpful to us when they certainly didn't have to be. They were able to get us set up with a few pairs of contacts to get us through the week. Dr. Pena was very friendly as was her very helpful staff! If we ever need any kind of eye care while we are in the Corpus area again we will definetely call their office!!
