Me and my wife were looking for some place to eat an anniversary lunch/dinner. We got a brochure at our hotel and decided to try Pier 99. We had decided on the fish sandwich dinners before we got there. When we arrived and started to order we were told that fish sandwiches were not served after 4:00pm. This made no sense so we decided to order something else. We actually almost left but we stayed and it turned out to be a good idea to stay. We ordered the fish platter and I willl say it was wonderful. A little slow on the food getting there but really good. I recommend them and will be back. I do suggest they inform customers better on their brochures though.
I loved it. I had the Rib eye steak with grilled shrimp and a nice glass of red wine. My steak was cooked to perfection (MR) and the shrimp are making my mouth water. My friend had the grill chicken salad and she loved it. All for $30. It was out of this world. The atmosphere was delightful and clean. I recommend it to all my friends and family. They host parties and they give great prices to go along with their worm smile;). You have to see it to believe!!
We don't have a "real" Mexican restaurant in the Nashville, TN area. Almost everthing there is swimming in cheese to the point that the burritos look the same as the chimichangas (?). This place was very refreshing. FINALLY a place that doesn't make paste out of the beans and smother everything with cheese!!!!! Plus, it was fresh. If we come back to Corpus Christi, we will definately return to this restaurant.
