I have had the pleasure of using Argus Pool Supplies for just shy of a year. I was new to the area and purchased a home with a pool and had no clue on what to do so I called Kevin and he was at my property promptly and checked out the equipment, made adjustments and explained my system to me. Kevin is not only a great guy but is reliable and my pool looks amazing at all times! I highly recommend you use his service.
Fabulous experience! I originally called Kevin due to my pump not pulling water from the pool into the filter. I had been messing with the vacuum and managed to get it locked up with air. I waited a couple of days, and when the problem had not resolved itself I knew I needed to call someone. I did my research and found that Argus Pool Supplies is the only company on yelp that is also on the BBB website and gets consistently great reviews. Kevin called me back within about 10 minutes and said he could be down the next morning to take a look at my problem. I mentioned I also had a DE leak somewhere in my filter that I would like him to look at since he will be here. He was here exactly when he said he would be the next day, and wouldn't you know it after the pump running for maybe a minute, it was pulling water in from the pool. So, the good news is I don't have a pump issue but still have the DE issue. Kevin said he could look at that and clean it for a great price, which if you have ever cleaned your own DE filter, you know that is a bargain, plus he is cheaper than what Leslie Pool supply charges. While cleaning it, it became clear that all of my panels had small tears in them. The corners and ridges were wearing away and all the DE was getting out through those. So, I need to replace all of them. He showed me on each one where they are wearing, so I can see for myself what is going on. Kevin is an honest guy who is running a great business. If you are having pool issues I would say, call him! You won't be disappointed. He shows up when he says, does what he says, and you don't get ripped off. He won't just show up in your yard one day, do work, invoice you and disappear. I would recommend him to anyone with a pool.
If you are looking far the best way to keep your pool clean, safe from kids falling in, and warmer then you will want to invest in a pool cover. I love how all I have to do is flip a switch and it will automatically roll out over the pool and back again when I'm ready to swim. The pool stays way warmer because the cover absorbs the heat from the sun. They were even able to hide all the motor in a protective covering as well as the tracks so that you don't even know there is a cover when it is open. Best investment if you have a pool or are thinking about getting one.

I can not say enough about the great customer service I received from Argus Pool Supplies. I went to 3 other stores in Norco and Corona before finding Argus. The other stores were over priced, had an unknowledgeable staff, and one was flat out rude. Argus has a very knowledgeable experienced staff that does not try to sell you the whole store like Leslies and Magnolia. I had a Heater problem that I tried to have 4 other pool companies fix unsuccessfully and Argus was able to fix the heater in 30 minutes and even had the part with them. This is by far the best pool company in the Inland Empire.

Argus has been servicing my pool and my neighbors' pools for years now. I really appreciate their honesty! Leslie's was ready to sell me an entire new system, and when I went to Argus for a second opinion, they were able to repair my motor for a minimal cost. I have been with Argus ever since. My pool is beautiful and has NEVER lacked in the weekly service - thanks to Argus employees. I highly recommend this company. They are known for their integrity!! You won't get ripped off here.

Every time I ask a question they have a good answer and they have the parts on hand for our Navigator. Been there at least 12 times and like I said .... worth the drive.
I forgot I turned the pump off to my above ground pool and now have a swamp. I went to Argus to get a new filter cartridge and some chemicals. For one filter cartridge and 4 gallons of chlorine the total was $41.00. Come to find out they charge $18.99 plus tax for one "B" cartridge, the same one others charge anywhere from $5-13. Knew I should of went to eBay or even Walmart.
When I inquired on how to get the algae out of my pool and I was told to shock it with chlorine and that might do it. I talked to my brother, which takes care of pools for a living, and he told me chlorine alone will not get rid of algae. Do they know what they are doing???
When I went in months before and asked about how to get the algae out of my neighbors pool, they gave me algae chemicals. Makes much more sense then just chlorine. They couldn't explain why I was suggested 2 different methods, but keep in mind this was coming from the guy that told me to just use chlorine.
Then I brought my sweeper in to be looked at and was told it needed bearings. I was shocked to find out bearings were $25.00. When I brought it in to the same store, but someone else was working they told me the bearings were fine.
Seems like if sales are up you get good service, but if they need money, look out.
To sum up, if the right person gets off their rump to come out of the back room, you will be given good advice. If the wrong person comes out, look out because they really don't want to help, they just want to go back in the room. Out of all the guys that work there, only 2 of them know what they are doing. If for some reason I have to go back there, if one of these 2 guys doesn't come out, I will leave and try again later........

We tried to hire this company to service our new pool. Our initial contact was great and scheduled a time to come out and give us a qoute. The first indication of trouble was when they did not show up. We followed up with a phone call and somebody there named Kevin asserted his guy had been there, had performed service, but could not tell us the date or time. At that point we informed Kevin that his services were no longer needed (as far as we could tell, no one had visited, since gate to the backyard is locked). Since then we have received three months of bills from this company. Calls are not returned. Finally we got hold of Kevin again today - apparently a very bad day for the guy. He once again asserted that service was performed, that his ""guy"" wouldnt lie, and that we were ""Dishonest thieves"". Not exactly your friendly neighborhood pool guy, huh? My advice? Stay as far away from this company as you can.

Recently purchased a rental property in Corona with a backyard pool and spa. Argus went to the home, met with the tenant, showed him how to operate pool/spa, and made sure everything was in top operating condition. No hard selling or pushing of unnecessary parts, products, or services. \r \r EXCELLENT service at a reasonable cost - the way business should be done. Hats off to you Charlie and Bill.

I was very impressed with the time the owner spent with me giving me information about the chemicals for my pool so I could keep it clean until my first appointment day. I also found out that their prices were very competitive (even online prices were not as competitive as theirs).\r I strongly recommend to check them out as a local reliable service.\r

There is one born every minute, and I guess this time that one is me. We were lured by a mailer ad that offered a free tune-up, including free wings and free shoes for our Hayward Pool Vac Ultra (crawling vacuum). My husband dropped it off this past Saturday and also bought several items from them for our pool, since we didn't want to take unfair advantage of them when they were offering this deal.\r \r Today, I went to pick it up. I presented the coupon and was charged $86 and change. I was surprised; I had expected to maybe have to pay $20-30 for additional parts, but I didn't know if my husband had requested that they do anything additional, so I paid it, asking what a ""tune up"" normally costs without this deal. I was told ""about $120.""\r \r After confirming with my husband that he had not requested any additional services, I called to ask why we had been charged $44 to open the unit, if the tune-up was free. What I was told was this: there is no ""tune-up,"" that basically the ""tune up"" is assessing what parts needed replacing. Silly me, I had thought a ""tune up"" included taking it apart, cleaning any debris that may have clogged it or something, and if anything additional needed done, they'd have called to let us know.\r \r If it was, in fact, only a diagnostic, then we should have been called before any work was done. I did call Leslie's Pool Supply later, and found out that the same parts could have been replaced by them for about half, without the $44 charge for opening up the unit.\r \r I have no problems paying for any repair or parts, but when I thought we were getting a free tune-up, it was a shock to discover that it was $86.\r \r Perhaps the ""coupon"" should have said, ""FREE diagnostic* (*parts and repair extra)""\r \r Next time it needs servicing, I'll take it to Leslie's again. Last time, it was only $39 for everything, including the ""free"" wings and shoes that we got at this place.\r \r I cannot recommend this business.

Service has been fast and friendly, reasonable prices and didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need. Good summer service of my pool while I was away.
