I took my cava-poo here for his 3rd set of shots... everything was fine... when he went for his 4th set... I was told that the shots would be between 70-80 bucks and when I went to pick my pup up... there was a bill over 100 bucks... I asked how we went from 70 to 100 and the chick at the front desk told me that they just took it upon themselves to throw in an extra shot (rabies) so he wouldn't have to come back later. this is my only problem... i think it would've been appropriate if they would've called rather that just throwing in an extra shot... now if i would've been short on funds... then what???I'm sure the police would've gotten involved. I think because this is my pup and my responsibility that someone should have informed me of what was going on... i will never go to this vet again.

I've had several pets that this clinic has cared for, and Drs. Pratt and Schwerin have always been kind, considerate, and professional. The vet techs are also wonderful. I've boarded a cat and a dog here several times and it's always been a good experience.

Dr. sanders does not work here, i believe that is cordova station animal hospital. The vets here are both truely wonderful people who always have a smile on. The receptionists and vet assistants are always helpful and make sure your pets are getting the best care. I love this hospital and so do my pets!
I would recommend this clinic to anybody who asked for a good veterinary hospital. The doctors are very nice and caring and will do anything they can to help your pet stay healthy. I have been going to this clinic for a very long time and would never think about changing animal hospitals. Also the workers there are very nice and caring.

I have been using this place for the last ten years for my cats and dogs. I have also used this as my boarding facility when going out of town. I have never had a bad experience here and the two veterinarians who work here are very compassionate and wonderful. When my animals have died I have gotten a sweet card from all of the staff that works there. It's a great place!!

We have taken our dog here several times and each time have been disappointed to some extent. The staff is great, all except for the vet. Our dog barks when he is scared and every other staff person came over to pet him and calm him down. When the vet came in she stood to the corner and acted as if she was scared and insisted on putting a muzzle on him. When our pet had an emergency we called expecting an answering machine with contact information for a recommended emergency clinic. No answering machine no information. We were later informed that they don't use a fax machine either so we would be making a special trip to give them his records from the emergency clinic. Needless to say a bit behind the times and not what I'm looking for in a vet.

We had our small dog spayed her and the staff at check in time was rude and seemed to be uncareing.\r \r When I picked our pet up there was no vet around to let us know how she was, what to look for that evening, or anything.\r \r After getting her home I saw she had been sutured up with stainless steel sutures. The ends were sticking out about a half inch from each suture. The poor little dog is in pure missery three days later because everytime she sits the wire sticks her hind legs. When she tries to lay on her belly the sutures stick on the carpet. She cannot get confortable.\r \r I have worked in vet clinics in my younger days and never say these sutures on a spaying of a small dog. The last 3 dogs I had were done by another vet that moved from the area. They were always glued or sutured with a very small nylon suture. This vet at Cordova Animal Hospital is not compationate at all or she would not have used these sutures.

My mother took a sick stray cat into the animal hospital and Dr Sanders spoke to her in a very agressive and degrading manner. My Mother was an elementary school teacher, went back to college and got her masters and taught Reading to underprivelaged children and English at the community college. She earned her Doctorate in Education Administration and worked for many years for the State Department of Education as Reading Specialist. Surely Dr. Sanders could have summoned the wherewithal to speak to her with kindness and compassion. He didn't charge her for putting the cat down but I am positive the abuse he heaped on an elderly schoolteacher wasn't worth the savings.
