There's still one month of summer left. Before those lazy, hazy days come to an end, use our get-things-done list to make the most of this fleeting season in the sun.
We needed an ear, nose and throat specialist, but the wait at our HMO was two weeks. What now? An emergency room seemed like overk…

I believe Dr. McBay truly cares about his patients. I can talk with him about any and all concerns that I have during my visits. If I need to cry, then I cry. If I need to hear reassurance, he offers it. I do not like his new hurse at all. She is rude and somewhat bigoted. Sorry. I call it like I see it. I called to ask a question about sore ribs and hips which actually came from my lawn mower that I figured out on my own, but before she even picked up the telephone, she made a smart comment about she didn't have time to play phone games. If I wasn't concerned. I wouldn't have called. I will try and continue to see Dr. McBay, but I will state my peace to Doc and this woman will not touch me again. If they don't want me as a patient after 10 years, then I guess I will find a new Doctor and I'm sure most of you know that finding a Doctor that you are comfortable is next to impossible. I have an appt at 11 tomorrow, so I guess we'll straighten it out, or I guess I can go back to Banister Lieblong which I truly do not want to do. I love Dr. McBays bedside manner, and the rest I will deal with in person. Thanks
I completely disagree with the two previous ratings. I have gone to Dr. Jackson for over twenty years and she delivered my daughter. Yes, you do sometimes have to wait. I have had to wait before for quite a while due to her having to handle an emergency. However, she is a very good doctor and, if anything, she stays in the room to talk longer than most doctors I've gone to. She was spot on with my child's birthdate. A few years ago I developed head and neck cancer and although she wasn't a part of my treatment team, she talked to me about 20 minutes and wanted to know details. She is very nice!
Been a patient for 4 years. The staff is great with the exception of the front desk ladies. They usually seem unapproachable or too busy working on something else to even say hello. The doctors and assistants, however, are extremely caring, calm, and collected. They give an effort to remember who you are and ask for updates on your life. They work with you and give the best treatment they can. They provide courtesy appointment reminder calls a day or two ahead to comfirm attendance at the set time.
