Parkside Motel

First let me say we are long time customers. Our group has been coming to Conneaut Lake for 21 years with out fail. We have changed motels 3 times and have been staying at the parkside for a majority of those years. I have to say the accomidations over the years have diminished recently. Mainly since new ownership. When you pack toilet paper and cleaning supplies to take to a motel that says a lot. We have many great memories with family and friends and the location is perfect. However, this year the free Wifi was not working. The pool was dirty. We inquired about the condition and was told the pool is to be cleaned on Mondays. Well this was Friday. You would think a clean pool would be high on the list for arriving guests. The pool was cleaned after protest."They don't pay me to clean the pool but once a week." Dear Mr. Owner look around. You could have one of the nicest places on the lake with a little TLC. Fairway closed, Sunset a dump, stay off that list.

I did not stay. I checked out a room had a musty smell floors were dirty overall not good. When I talked to the manager she said they only had one hour to clean the room. That is not what you want to hear.Very disappointed canceled my reservation.

I spent most of my summer of 2015 here and absolutely loved it! The rooms are clean and the atmosphere takes me back to my childhood! The feeling you get with summer's in Conneaut is truly priceless! Even more so, when you have little one's of your own to share it with! The staff is very welcoming and eager to make you feel at home. Sheesh, my little boy didn't watch T.V or cry about not being able to play video games the entire time! If you want a place to relax, enjoy the Pa. Country, and a Amusement park that takes you back in time, this is the place!

The owners are absolutely deplorable. They are rude and ignorant. We stayed at the motel in mid august. The owners were visiting from NY at this time. Our room as clean and we were completely satisfied with the service we received from Dan the manager. He ran is tail off to make sure we and the other guests were taken care of. We attempted to visit with the owners as they sat in the house staring at all of us. They ignored us completely. We talked with Dan and he was an amazing host. We would see him running around all day and night to well past 1 am and up before dawn all week. We made a passing comment about the fact he must make a lot of money to do what he does. He laughed and told us point blank "I make about $15 a day but I love the guests." Really these people do that to other people. We recently ran into Dan and he said he is no longer there. That prompted me to post this and tell you that my family and I will never return to Parkside Motel again.

The Parkside Motel. Conneaut Lake Pa, USA ---- My friend and I arrived about 3pm on Saturday August 30th, 2014. As I took a left into its parking lot, I was happy to see its outdoor pool looking as crisp and clean as I had known over a long time stretch of my life. This is a place I had shared with my children over many years of their young lives. My parents and I, way back when, had stayed here when it was under the name: The Mckinley, as they would take my sisters and I to Conneaut Lake Park for a great time. I entered the office and was promptly greeted by Maria, who quickly and professionally confirmed my stay and gave me my key, while she offered my Wifi Code. The room I reserved was nothing less than awesome! Highly clean, ample AC for a hot August day, and best yet: Enough towels to cover a multitude of dips into an exceptional outdoor pool while giving no need to ask for extras to take a shower with. My room had a stove, fridge and microwave, queen and double and was very clean. And yes, in my opinion, there is nothing like watching the sun go down while floating and letting your troubles and cares slip away for a weekend! The PLUS factors: Free WiFi, coffee, playground for young children, a BBQ grill and truly awesome pool. A small walk from Conneaut lakes beach if lake swimming is your desire. About the area: The Parkside Motel is located next to Conneaut Lake Park, many golf courses encompass this area if you wish for a challenge. Conneaut Cellars winery is but a few minutes drive away and creates some of the best wine products PA can offer. A brief moments drive from kid-friendly amazement's like the Linesville Spillway (where the ducks really do walk on the fish.) and Pymatuning Deer Park where the little ones can see the animals, feed many, and grant you smiles you had never known before. In short, The Parkside Motel is, in my belief, the best Conneaut lake pa has to offer in all respects. Great rates, fantastic service, and a clean and comfortable place to stay. I know this about myself after this last stay: I wish to book here each and every season to photograph this area. Thanks, Parkside Motel! I'm deeply sorry for you not enjoying your experience, however we appreciate your feedback so that we can improve the quality of our motel. The bed you claimed to be broken wasn't. The hook of the bed came off and your problem was fixed in a timely manner and what you claim as dirty was only under the bed and we cleaned it right away. We didn't charge $90 but $75 fir the room with 3 beds and 5 people and 60 for the room with two beds for 3 people. There is an extra $10 charge for additional people which we waived and most motels ask you to check out at 11 which we politely remind all guests. However the guest overstayed after 11 and was using the pool so we have to politely ask if they were staying another night and if not that they had to leave the premises. The bathroom and microwave were clean as per standards and your other issues were addressed imediately. We really apologize for you not so pleasant experience and we hope we can do business again. We appreciate your feedback.

Filthy. Had to ask office for a broom so we can sweep the room. Old left over food in microwave. Bathroom was dirty, someone else's shoes left under the bed. No maid service. Had to ask for fresh towels, bed broken. The man in the office was very "unprofessional" and rude. This place wants to charge $90 bucks a night, yet it's filthy and beat down. Never again. Would rather sleep in my car than have my family sleep in this motel. Definitely needs cleaned and updated.

Totally sucked. Room was dirty, smellly, rusty, and mold in bathroom.. Deffinately not a clean place to stay. We refused to stay because of the filth. They wouldn't give us our deposit back because we didn't get a 24 hour notice. If I had known it was that dirty I would never have booked this motel. Picutre in add looks very nice with a beautiful pool. WRONG!!!!!! The pool was totally green Yuk
