Unfortunately they do not have a MINUS Star Rating because Yellow Cab of Columbus deserves a MINUS FIVE. I called for a cab at 10am Sunday and they said one would be on the way. I called again at 10:30 am...and 11:00 am...and 11:30 am...12 noon...and when I called again at 12:30 the dispatcher strted screaming at me for no reason! I called for a supervisor on Monday (Supervisors don't work on Sundays so it's no wonder they can get away with murder...when the Cat's away they rats will play) I was told that a supervisor would call me back. It's now Wednesday and they have yet to return my call. So-o-o I lodged a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Use anyone BUT Yellow Cab of Columbus, unless you like your cab to never show up and dispatchers to scream abuse at you on the phone.
I called at 4:28pm on Sunday, October 28 for a taxi to pick me up at the Hertz Rental Car on Billingsly Road. Twenty minutes later I called again to find that no taxi driver would pick up my fare. I called ten minutes later and was told that no driver would pick up the fare. I was referred to another taxi company by the dispatcher who said call ACME at 777-7777. They were there in 5 minutes and I tipped the driver $10 on a $10 fare. NEVER USE YELLOW CAB OF COLUMBUS!!! They just lost my $50 rides to the airport from Powell. I guess they don't need the business.

Personally this cab does not deserve a star,-2 stars is what I give them,they are suppose to be the top flight of cabs.Two times this cab has not come through,I work as a aide to a child with disability and instead of telling they do not have a cab,they just leave you stranded,I have to call them to see what is going on,they tell me..we might be able to get a cab to or not.They left me and a disable child stranded...On A Wish and a Prayer
I live 8 miles from downtown Columbus and called 1 hour in advance to schedule a pick up at 6:45 pm. When no cab arrived, I called at 7 pm to hear that we are sorry, we have no cabs in your area. That's why I called in advance to schedule a pick up. Then I was told we don't even know when we will have a cab in your area. Needless to say NEVER AGAIN. I was late to my engagement and got a friend to drop me off. I guess my business wasn't good enough for yellow cab. The cab company that drove me home got a nice tip and my future business.

I called for a cab to pick me up across the street from Nationwide Arena after a show. The driver showed up late stopped on the wrong side of the street and picked up someone else. I called back and they said that driver did in fact pick up the wrong people. They said they would send another driver within 15 minutes. That driver could not find the address and drove by. We gave them the precise address and told them we were standing outside of Ted's Montana Grill. We ended up flagging a Blue Cab down. Never again will I stand outside in the dark and cold waiting for Yellow Cab!!! I called (614)444-4444 to let them know what happened and they hung up on me.
I usually have decent service from this service. I call they come. My last experience was pretty much the same until I got to my destination. We pull up and I look at the price on the meter. I get ready to give him the money and then he pushes a button that changes the price. I'm like ok whatever. I hand him the money and then he says no, its the higher price. He further explains to me that he has the right to pass onto his customer the taxes that he has to pay for driving the taxi. I don't know about you, but I did not see a posting for that in the vehicle and have never had the amount changed by the driver. I have had drivers tell me to give them less so that they wouldn't have the change, but never more. IT was almost 2 dollars. I was outraged, when I called the company they told me that the driver has that option. Understandable, but I feel that it should be posted and then all drivers should do it. If I had only brought a certain amount, because of past experiences I would have been in trouble.
