Thomas Iacono opened his first Tommy s Pizza in 1952. He used his own family recipe brought over from Italy. Keeping to that tradition, the restaurant s pizza features a thin cracker crust that crisps on the bottom when baked. The restaurant was named as Best Pizza in Columbus by AOL s Cityguide for 2005 and 2006. Consisting of more than four restaurants, each Tommy s Pizza location makes its own dough and sauce fresh daily. The restaurant also offers oven baked subs and sandwiches, as well as Italian dinners, salads and appetizers. Tommy s Pizza is located in Columbus, Ohio.

One of the best in Columbus

Been going for years, and this place has stood the test of time. Some of the best pizza ever, and the subs are to die for. Everything else on the menu is great too. While the building itself is a little dated, it is clean and comfortable. The seasoned and friendly wait staff does a stellar job...you get most food piping hot right from the oven. The only small con is parking, but that should be expected, as the restaurant is stacked at every lunch and dinner. A true Columbus icon.

I've been eating at Tommy's for years. If you like thin crust pizza, this is the place. The subs are great; the meatball with cheese and the classic Italian are out of this world.\r \r The only downside to their original Lane Ave location is on busy weekend nights (e.g., Friday night). The seating area is too small, parking is limited, and the cash register is a bottle neck. For God's sake get two registers!

I have been going to this restaurant for the past 15 years. It is by far the best pizza I've ever tasted. Thin crusts, great sauce (beer in the sauce is what does it), phenomenal subs. It's kind of run down but that's what makes Tommy's what it is. The service is average, but it's worth it for the pizza.

I have eaten pizza all over in about 5 states and Tommys lane avenue can't be touched. The pepperoni curls like it should and the flavor is like heaven. The site is a bit rustic but the service is awesome and the pizza even better.
