I used Atty Doug Shaw to file a judicial release for my husband and he did NOTHING that he told me he'd do such as interview the victim, personally interview MY HUSBAND (his client!!) or NOTIFY ME OF THE COURT'S DECISION!! He took my $500, made me a lot of promises of what he would do to help my husband and did absolutely NONE of it. It took him FIVE months to even file the paperwork that I GATHERED, not him! I called and called and called him for status reports, first on the actual filing of the motion, then 5 mos. later when Mr. Shaw had FINALLY filed the judicial release, I had to continue to call him EVERY DAY to find out if he'd received the court's response. He was always busy with a client, in court or out of the office. I was his client, too! I have never received a return call from him and that was THREE YEARS AGO. Mr. Shaw, I'm still waiting to hear from you!! I learned of my husband's denial by checking the online public access records search. It gets even better...MY HUSBAND'S DENIAL WAS BASED ON HIS INELIGIBILITY BECAUSE OF THE LENGTH OF HIS ORIGINAL SENTENCE!!!! Mr. Shaw is a lawyer who is supposed to know the law so why did he take my $500 when he knew my husband was ineligible for judicial release??? Who's the criminal here???
