inconsistent food inconsistent service

I have been to this place frequently because it is close to where I live and work. Sometimes the service is great; pleasant and attentive. Sometimes it is abysmal; you could die before getting a refill, the staff are ignoring the customers fighting or socializing with each other and they act bothered by the presence of the customers. The food is just as chancy. I order shrimp frequently. It will either be a succulent perfectly cooked masterpiece or so overcooked and/or old that you wonder if it is safe to eat. Going here is like playing roulette; you either win big or lose big.

Great food, great service - but go on a weekday. The selection is good in terms of various curries and appetizers. I have had great servers with good knowledge each time I've gone. They even have a nice little patio to sit out on. Pros: good food Cons: you have to pay for Nan

Okay Food, bad service

First time going there a few weeks ago, it seemed half full on the weekend. There's been a couple of former restaurants in this building that's gone out of business. The front door staff wasn't too friendly, but got a table within 5 minutes. Our server who I think was the owner's daughter was horrible. You can tell she hated to work on the weekend, her attitude and poor service was obvious. Never refilled our water or drinks, we had to ask every time as she was busy chatting with her friends. Plus when we where still eating with forks in our hands, she asked if we are done yet over and over again...what a stupid question to ask? We won't be going back, since there's so many other places a lot better like Taj Mahal with excellent service and food.
