I was sad to hear about Satuma selling their business, but it was a much-deserved retirement for Clara and Father and I looked forward to meeting with the new owners. I came in to Hisui on opening day and was happy to see they kept the Satuma menu while adding their own menu, which includes freshly-made Thai cuisine. They even give you the option of picking how spicy you'd like to have your food, which is great for me since spicy food and I don't get along. Though I haven't tried anything from their new menu just yet, I can say their sushi is the same amazing flavor and quality I received from Father. I was also very impressed by their great customer service and inviting atmosphere. I can't wait to come back with my husband to try their new menu!

satuma is the place to go. if your looking for fun, a good time, and good food, this is the place to be... very friendly, funny, its like being at a family get together. I am a very picky eater, but when i tasted the food, ex. korroke,(deep fried potato pancake), beef teriyaki, gyoza(pan fried pork dumplings)... it wonderful. ecspecially with all the different sake, and wine to choose from. Trust me you will love it..
While Satuma is the more expensive Japanese restaurant in Columbus, I think it is also the better one. The sushi is a good size, although the spicy is Really spicy. The sukiyaki is delicious, along with the salmon terriyaki, udon soup, and tempura. This is a good date place.
