Henry's

I sat down for lunch at 12:10 and saw a menu of daily specials on the table and chose an item from that menu. I was informed by the waitress that menu was incorrect that nothing on that menu was available. So why was it on the table? The waitress rattled off 4 or 5 item that were available and I chose the chicken with rice and gravy. 30 minutes later the man that walked in the door before me had finished his meal and left and I had not received my food yet. So 35 minutes after sitting down my meal finally arrived. My waitress apologized several times and said she would send the manager out to see me. I never saw the manager. The waitress came out later and said they would comp me a desert so I chose to get peach cobbler to go. I waited another 15 minutes and still no desert. So I walked out and no one noticed. But when I got to my car I decided I would go back inside and talked to the manager. I could never find the manager but waitress came out with my desert and I left. It really does not matter if the food was good if the service is lousy. Oh did I mention the hair I found in my food. Real nice touch to a horrible lunch. Since the manager decided not to come out and see me I decided to share my experience with anyone who may be wondering about Henry's.

The food is overall very good. Being a Daughter of a mother that is from New Orleans I am the person to ask about the famous Henrys... Well the GUMBO had no rice and Gumbo should have rice i am not sure why it didn't. I had it twice and neither times did it have it, It left something that was needed. If that rice was in there it would have been GREAT.

I was born and raised in Baton Rouge, LA, so I have pretty high standards when it comes to Louisiana Cuisine. People in LA judge a good restaurant by their Gumbo. Henry's did not disappoint. It was Dark and spicy! We had the catfish and it was well seasoned. Also tried the Shrimp Po'Boy. The shrimp were fairly large and well seasoned. Bread was fresh and soft. We made it a point to talk with the Owner/Chef Henry. Very nice man who came to Columbus because his son is at Ft. Benning. For Columbus, this restaurant is the best Cajun restaurant in town. I also appreciate the location. Most good restaurants in N.O and B.R. aren't in fancy shopping malls, they're off the beaten path. The crowd was diverse, Jazz music was playing and the A/C was blowin'. It felt like home. LSU and Saints fans are welcome!

Neat and clean with a lovely ambience and decor. I from louisiana so I love all the Saints/LSU/Southern ect. sports stuff. The bbq shrimp and grits we well seasoned and the staff was very friendly. I hope they do well because I just found a new spot!

This place doesn’t even deserve a star (but I had to out on because the damn site made me), but it does deserve a review because it was THAT bad!!!!





The entire restaurant was full of smoke, smelled HORRIALBE, and the bathroom was so filthy that I didn’t even want to finish my meal after I walk into that bathroom. The meal itself wasn’t even that good; my 15 year-old cousin can cook better than that. The parking SUCKS, and even the outside of the restaurant has a funky odor. The waitresses are like 10, the boss is so cheap he won’t even hire people who can carry the damn trays. The cook was screaming at someone is the back, cussing and fussing about something, very VERY unprofessional! Basically JUST DON’T GO!!!!!!!!
