Both my daughter and I have been patients of Dr. Karen Davis for over twenty years; I have never heard of a "Dr. Sims" associated with this medical group. Dr. Davis has provided nothing but the most excellent care; her nursing practioners are most professional. The office staff has never been anything but cordial.

Dr. Nims is incredibly RUDE. I chose her based solely on how close she was to my work and home and because I prefer a female gyno. This proved to be a hard lesson learned - I should have done more research. While knowledgeable, her bed-side manner is very poor. If you're looking for a personal experience, she would NOT be the doctor for you. She tends to be a little rough with ""that"" area. As a woman, I thought she would be a little more sensitive, because this is generally not an appointment most women look forward to. I confided in her about weight concerns and I felt she was very judgmental and condescending in how she responded to me. I'm a size 14 and 5'8"" and she called me obese and told me how to maintain a size 6 as she apparently has. I have never felt so disregarded as a PAYING patient. I will NEVER return to this doctor. HOWEVER, I thought her nurse was very nice and it was the only redeeming part of the visit.

I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Nims. She was on top of my pregnancy and when I had major comlications she was right there with me. I didn't have to see the on call doctor at the hospital. I actually got my doctor. She took wonderful care of me. She even came in on her days off to check on me and make sure I was doing well. She might have been honest about things but was never rude to me. She is a wonderful doctor. I know when I decide to have another baby she will be right by my side every step of the way.

Dr. Tracy Nims is VERY rude. I felt I was a POW and felt so intimidated and insignificant. I was told I had 45 seconds to change out of my clothing, and put on the paper patient gown, and then Ms. Sims left the room. I was in such a hurry to yank all my clothes off that I tore the paper gown, and my hands were shaking. I felt so disrespected although I am very respected (and well known) by most here in Franklin. This is not my first pregnancy, and I am knowledgable about the normal protocol of OB's. I was weighed in only once, though I was in my 5th & 6th month, never given a glucose tolerance test, and she didn't listen to the baby's heart beat EVER (after the first initial visit). She also almost took my bloodwork for the second time! Once I had to wait in the waiting room from 10:00am, till 12:47pm while other patients (who came in after me) were taken in. The last and final visit I went to with the Drill Sargent, was for my second sonogram, and I was told that I had no appointment that morning. After driving for 30 minutes, leaving my daughter with a sitter, I was turned away, even though I had an appointment card to prove that they scheduled my 10:30 Apt. I was told that my time had been changed by ME and that I had called in 2 weeks before -WOW! That was the last straw. I am not the only one that has felt so mistreated by Dr. Nims. I have since met another mom who was treated in the SAME manner, and had to find another DR in her 6th month as well. In the past 2 months, Ms. Nims' Nurse has quit on her, as well as her receptionist. Regardless of how I was treated, I was AMAZED, to hear Ms. Sims talking to her receptionist and nurses MANY times- telling them-out in the open for all to hear, about her patient's diagnosis, cases, and abnormalities etc. One poor woman had just had a pap smear taken by Ms. Sims & she had discovered that the lady had two of everything Two cervix, two uterus, etc. Sharing this was a DIRECT VIOLATION OF DR./ PATIENT PRIVACY LAWS!

Dr. Nims doesn't have any bedside manner. She is cold and doesn't make you feel comfortable. She always seems to have an attitude. I think she treats her employees very disrespectful. I will not be returning because of this.
