I found Scott and the shop online and went to chat with him... I am picky about who works on my bike. It's nothing fancy, but it's mine, ya know. I was immediately impressed by his knowledge of my "91 FLTP, and I think the guy can talk to anybody. When Scott got my bike in his shop, he told me what was needed, and during repairs updated me on other things that were in dire need as well as a couple that might need repair soon. He took it upon himself to fix things that he noticed (welded a couple of tabs that were cracked) without being asked. (and did not put it on my bill). He talked WITH me about my ride, not TO me, and did not act like I was an idiot when I asked questions. All in all, a great experience. If I was going to be in the area I would take my bike to no one else. I am a traveling nurse, and a woman. I was treated as a fellow biker, which is appreciated. Thanks Scott and Billy!

Hands down the best performance / custom Harley specialist in the Cola area and one of the best in SC. Honest and straight forward when it come to your bike. He will let you know / show you what is wrong with it, What he is going to do to it, And will show you what he did to it. From simple tune ups / oil changes to high performance engine building and tuning Scott is your man. Good dude to deal with to,Give him a call...You'll be glad you did.

WOW!! Scott really is a master mechanic. I was having trouble with an S&S V111 engine that the Harley shop installed and could not get it to run. He found all the problems that they had caused fixed them, found another problem that the motor had, fixed that and threw in other upgrades that I didn't even know my bike needed. Scott is, "SuperMechanic." He will be doing all of my service from this point on.

I found Scott through another mechanic I used to use for metric bikes. I don't know what I would have done had I not found him except I would be at the mercy of HD shops and their mechanics who have the shops interest ahead of mine. Scott is the most knowleagle HD mechanic I have ever met. He transformed my 2007 Electraglide into the motorcycle it is today. Wow! It's like a new motorcycle.



Scott is polite, knowleable, dependable and honest. I think of him as my most valued mechanic and I think of him as my newest friend. I feel lucy to have him work on my bike and privaledged to say he is my friend.



If you try him, you will be satisfied. He is the best I have ever known.

GREAT guy!!! My drive belt snapped randomly out side the redroof inn up the road from his shop and i had to head back to jacksonville the next day for work. I called harley didnt have the belt and couldnt get it tell mid week. My girl who was with me found the number for The Original Bad Guys and we called them up and drove to the shop. It was just him and his son playing catch out front. They drove up to the hotel loaded up my bike and we followed them back to the shop. He had the belt i needed and started working on it right then this was at like 6 at night on columbus day when he was supposed to be closed. I just sat and talked to him while he was swapping out the belt and him and his son were both great to sit and talk to. Very knowledgeable about harley's and mechaniques in general he obviously had been around it quite a while. IT'S an old school bike shop so understand that when you pull up. All in all great people that do great work and helped me out of a jam and im sure im not the first or last person. Go to guy in Columbia area for bikes.

Scott, the owner of The Original Bad Guys, is the most thorough mechanic I have ever hired. Scott is an old school, no nonsense mechanic who takes pride in his work and treats your bike like it is his own. I have tried other places in the Columbia area, and his knowledge and proficiency surpasses theirs by leaps and bounds….that’s saying something for a shop nowhere close to my home. I will definitely be using this place again for future repair and services. He took the time to explain all of the work he did on my bike, showed me the old parts he took off and replaced, and gave me tips about how to maintain my bike. He finishes his work on time, does not BS you about the price, and in my case he even went the extra mile and took care of some things I didn't ask for but definitely needed.



It's very hard to find a reliable, honest, competent mechanic for a custom motorcycle. You will be doing yourself a favor if you check him out! On the other hand, if you are like me, you will thank your lucky stars that you found him.

Scott is the best. We were broke down in Columbia on Easter weekend and the dealership was unable to help us. We combed the yellow pages and found the Orginal Bad Guys shop and Scott was great. He came tot he hotel picked the bike and us up, took all down to the shop tried to fix bike and there was more than a battery problem. He then return us to the hotel (bike included) until we could get someone from home to pick us up. He was very pleasant, helpful and honest. Don't bother dealing with ANYONE else when it comes to your bike. Whatever you need, Scott delivers at a fair price and impeccable work! Want your bike treated like it was their own? Then they are the ones to see! Scott is the ONLY one that touches my bike, enough said.

Scott has exceptional talents and knowledge of custom Big Twins. His shop should be your first and only stop. Called Madcycle in hopes of getting my 1984 XL 1000 HD Sportster back on the road. Scott picked up my bike at the house within the hour. Had several things done at his shop: new SS carb, exhaust, oil leak, valve adjustment, Dyna coil, new petcock, and tuning.



Scott was up-front from the beginning and continued to treat my bike as his own throughout. Not only does the bike run/look better than it ever has, found a true professional in every sense of the meaning.
