Located in Columbia, S.C., South Carolina Heart Center provides diagnosis and treatment services for heart and cardiovascular diseases. Founded in 1989, it offers early detection, disease management, diagnostic testing and intervention services. The center offers various cardiovascular care services, including cardiovascular CT scan, echocardiographs, nuclear stress testing, electrophysiology and disease management education. It offers a wide variety of services, including laboratory testing, emergency contraception pills, clinics, pacemaker services, Holter monitoring, enhanced external counter pulsation, echocardiography and carotid studies. The center s research department develops and executes clinician-designed research projects, and grants funded research and scientific manuscripts. Additionally, the center offers various cardiovascular training courses and preventive services, such as public health screenings. South Carolina Heart Center has satellite and full-time offices in Columbia, Lexington, Bamberg, Camden, Chester, Hartsville and Irmo in South Carolina.
