My experience at the Purple Lotus was wonderful and Shavon is amazing. I am extremely pleased with my tattoo! It is beautiful and I almost cried when I saw it :). The atmosphere made the experience even better. Shavon was friendly, warm, and funny. She has a wonderful personality and our conversation helped me enjoy the tattoo while keeping my mind off the pain. I know that for any future work I will DEFINITELY be going to Shavon! Look forward to the experience again!

I had a terrible piece of twenty year old art on my right shoulder that other tatoo artists told me would be limited to just a few options, and I didn't like any of their suggestions. Shavon sat me down and said she could design anything I wanted. I now know the difference. Shavon is a talented artist, who just happens to use skin as her canvas. You can get a tatoo from alot of places in town, if you like driving a 1980 Honda. Want a Ferrari? Go see Shavon.

My husband and I both had artwork by Shavon. She did a fantastic job on both!! My husbands first tat and she and her husband made it so relaxing. Great people! Great art! Would not go anywhere else and would definitely recommend her to everyone.

Oh, where do I begin?
Oh, where do I begin? Is there a word limit here? My boyfriend and I were in Columbia and, honestly, we picked Shavon's shop off the internet because they were open until 10:00 (it was 7:45ish when we were looking) and because they boasted that they are the kind of place you can take your grandma to get tattooed. We showed up at Shavon's right at 8:00 and walked into what looked like a massage parlor to me. I was a little taken back by that and was not too upset when we were told that they actually close at 8:00. So, we were on our way to the truck and would have definitely looked up another local parlor when Shavon came outside and asked us what we wanted. At that moment, we had no idea what we were in for. We showed her our picture of what we wanted and from that moment on we had the most amazing, hilarious tattoo experience of our lives. I told her that I wanted my tattoo black and she looked me in the eyes and said NO. I will never have another black tattoo! She suggested the prettiest colors I never would have imagined on my own and I absolutely love it! This was my 4th and my boyfriend's 11th tattoos. Shavon gave me the tattoo experience that everyone should get but do not get at the run of the mill tattoo parlors. I do not live in Columbia but will definitely make the trip to see Shavon and will recommend her to all of my friends seeking body art as well, and it doesn't hurt that Shavon will give members (everyone's a member once they get work done there) $300 worth of ink for every three referrals you send her. Shavon is truly a one of a kind, amazing person and artist and I look forward to my next work of art from her!

Shavon is hands down the best tattoo artist alive! I got my first tattoo from her and was speechless at her amazing work! If anyone wants a tattoo go to Shavon. I will be getting all my tattoo's done by her and no one else!

I am very happy with the work that was done by Shavon. She was very friendly and helpful. It was my first tattoo and very happy with what she was able to do with my idea. I will be coming back whenever I decide to get my next tattoo!

AMAZING WORK!
AMAZING WORK!!!! I got a bad tattoo from somewhere else I thought was beyond redemption but Shavon has been turning it into something beautiful I can be proud to show off! It's not done yet but already it looks so so much better than before. She is very caring and passionate about what she does and has a lot of experience. The detail she puts into her work is incredible. All the staff I met are very friendly and helpful and the shop has a very peaceful and welcoming atmosphere I felt comfortable in as soon as I walked in the door. If you want a gorgeous, quality tattoo you can be proud of, please please go to Purple Lotus Tattoo. I am only going here from now on. Shavon knows exactly what she is doing, you will not leave disappointed!!!

THE ABSOLUTE BEST!
THE ABSOLUTE BEST! I came to purple lotus with one of my best friends to get a memorial tattoo for her husband who was killed in the line of duty and Shavon is absolutely amazing! I can' t wait to go and get more ink! Beautiful work- wonderful spirit! I felt like I was home. Don't even look at other shops- this is the only place you need to be! I am going back just as soon as I can! LOVE THIS PLACE!!

Shavon does great work. I went to her to fix a tattoo that Tattoo Trillionaires messed up. It was suppose to be a large tattoo with stars, swirls and butterflies. THE TATTOO ARTISTRY AT TATTOO TRILLIONAIRES IS HORRIBLE. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THAT PLACE.. GO TO SHAVON'S PURPLE LOTUS IF YOU WANT A NICE TATTOO! SHE'S THE BEST IN TOWN! Tattoo Trillionaires needs to be shut down. Instead of a beautiful piece of art I got horrific scarring in my butterflies. Shavon however was able to fix some of the damage and I'll be working with her to fix in a few sittings to fix the damage. Her tattoo shop is clean and peaceful. Its very relaxing and she cares about her customers. She makes you feel welcomed and that she cares about her work more than the money. I have a tattoo that Shavon did on my shoulders of me and my son's zodiac signs and it is absolutely beautiful!

We traveled down from Greenville, SC, to get my first tattoo. Shavon's Purple Lotus is definitely an upscale body art shop. I couldn't imagine getting a tattoo from anywhere else. Her work is exquisite, and she has such a passion for what she does, making you feel at ease immediately. I have already recommended her to others in Greenville. She is worth the drive regardless where you are coming from.

I followed the advice of a co-worker who said " she would nt go anywhere else but purple lotus".It was great advice Shavon did a great job and with her suggestion it came out better then I ever expected.Her artistic advice on how to shade it gave it a much better appearence.She is a super friendly and pleasant person to do business with.Any future work will definately be done at her hand.

The Purple Lotus is the best place to get a tattoo!! I just got my first tattoo yesterday and I absolutely love it! The atmosphere was very comfortable and Shavon did a beautiful job on my tattoo. She gave my tattoo meaning and I think that's what I love them most, and of course its just beautiful! Everyone needs to get there tattoos done here!!

Shovon did an exceptionnal job fixing a tattoo that was done at another establishment. What makes her unique is her ability to custom design a piece that fits you and is unique to only you. Shavon and her staff actually take the time to get to know you and make you feel like you are family. The atmosphere is so peaceful and only adds to the experience. All I can say is that I was blown away at how beautiful the piece was and I cant wait to go back!

I had a tattoo from 30 years ago that had turned into an unattractive blob on my outer ankle. Shavon not only added an absolutely beautiful new tattoo, she also did a wonderful job making the older tattoo look fresh and a part of the newer one. I have been pleased with my experience from start to finish. The atmosphere is fun and friendly; the decor is really interesting and fits perfectly; most of all, the people who work there are great, making you feel like an old friend coming for a visit. We joked about body art becoming addictive, and true to that thought, I am already thinking about another tattoo. I also have a friend I am going to encourage to go see Shavon when she is ready to have her tattoo redone! I would certainly reccommend Shavon's Purple Lotus Body Art to anyone interested in getting body art!

I am recommending every person I know that's interested in getting a tattoo to come here. The atmosphere is perfect, and everyone is insanely friendly and nice. Two of my friends and I got "Don't Panic" and a small whale on our arms, and they look fantastic. the lines are very, very clean and it only took a few minutes.

I recently went to Shavon for my first tattoo. She, her family and co-workers, and even her customers made me feel comfortable. She did an awesome job on the tattoo. And, because I had a time limit due to a traveling commitment, she worked me into her schedule. I plan to go back to her for my next tattoo.

I have been looking for a local shop to use,but have not found one I have really heard many good things about. I have gotten all of my other work done in Charlotte, and was honestly scared to use any of the local shops. A friend of mine had gotten work done by Shavon, and was saying nothing but good things about her work,and her shop. I decided to give it a shot, and I'm very glad I did! She does top quality work, and is commited to giving you want you want. Needless to say, I won't be driving to Charlotte again!! I would recommend her work to anybody looking to get quality work done. Everyone in the shop is very friendly too...it's a win win!!

I went to the Purple Lotus the day after…
I went to the Purple Lotus the day after Thanksgiving and Shavon tattooed stars on my foot that she had designed. The facility was so comfortable and was definitely a spa-like experience which was much better than the other tattoo studios I have gone to. Shavon is an incredible artist and has a great sense of humor so it made the experience that much better. The colors on the tattoo are so bright and the quality is exceptional. Thank you Shavon!!!
