I was present when the Wilson's were in Barron's as I am a frequent costomer. I buy all my hunting and fishing gear at this store, and will shop NO where else. The prices are the same as the big boys, but unlike the chain stores, they know your name and back their stuff. Please do not listen to folks on the internet who only tell one side of a story. The Wilsons were told exactly what to expect, and were advised against proceeding with repair of the rods. The rods they had could not be fixed to look like the they did brand new from the factory, which they were told, but they insisted on having them repaired anyway. The fine folks at Barrons have worked on all my rods and reels for years, and I take them no where else. The owner, Kent, has specially ordered me plenty of specialty gear I could get no where else. If you need any outdoor wear: River's West, CC Filson, LaCross Boots, do yourself the favor and stop by their Harden Street store, you'll thank me later.

One of Columbia's best hunting and fishing stores. Great customer service and a knowledgable staff. Their rod repair is great. They fixed several of my rods and they look like new. I've also bought several guns from them. The staff helped me pick the right gun for the job. Will definitely be a life long customer.

I took two high end fishing rods in to them to replace all the eyes. They told me it would take about one week. It took almost three. They didn't call me to tell me about any hold up (back ordered parts). They didn't completely repair one of the rods. They didn't wrap the eyes very well at all. The opoxy finish is very uneven and rough looking. I called them and spoke with the owner Kent. The end result they wouldn't even refund the labor cost and, I have to take them somewhere else to be redone properly. Another eighty-five dollars on top of the 280 dollars they charged me!

DO NOT LET THEM FIX YOUR FISHING RODS!!!

Do not go here to get fishing rods repaired. If there is a time delay, they don't call you. You have to call them to get any information. Their customer service stinks. My huband's fishing rods need to be repaired from their repair work. They didn't complete the job. They said it would be one week, it was 19 days. The epoxy wasn't even and some of the guides were wrapped improperly. I wish I didn't have to give this even one star, however this review process makes me give it one.
