a bunch of immigrants? who says that? I've been going to arena for years and the people have always been friendly, professional, and helpful. I have never had any problems with purchasing their products. I agree, Grindstone can be convenient but if you want variety and a much better selection of beers, Arena liquor is definitely the place to go. And, you can fill up your tank while you're deciding on which beer to get! Maybe the workers were just responding to your obvious ignorance and close-mindedness that rubbed off when you noticed that they were "immigrants." And poor people skills? People at Grindstone understand you? Arena liquor definitely have the best selection of beer in Columbia, and the people who work there are friendly and helpful, as long as you act the same towards them.
If you have been to Potbelly's in Chicago and love their sandwiches, then you will love this place. They have fresh toasted sandwiches with fresh bread. They also have pizzas but the sandwiches are so good that I have never tried the pizza. The only thing that makes me sad is that at a place called Pickleman's, they should serve pickles with sandwiches. I get a bit sad everytime I don't get a pickle there.
The food was good and priced well for the proportions. I got the bacon turkey avocado sandwich, which was delicious. Just picture it as an Applebee's but with more personality and style. There is something for everyone on the menu, including vegetarian, seafood, salads, burgers, etc. They have their own signature wine, beer and soda, which will be interesting to try. Definitely worth checking out.
