        Adair County School District comprises four elementary schools, a middle and high school, adult learning center, and John Adair Intermediate school. The district serves the educational needs of students in grades kindergarten through 12. Its curriculum includes mathematics, English, science, foreign languages, history, geography, economics, physical and health education, music, and arts and crafts. The district also offers courses in agricultural and industrial arts, business studies, computer technology, phonics, and language therapy. Its cocurricular activities include chess club, Christian leadership team, newspaper, yearbook, quiz bowl, National Honor Society, National Geographic bee, spelling bee, student council, junior-senior banquet, senior trips, state fine arts and academic competitions, and band and choir concerts. Adair County School District is located in Columbia, Ky.
