This is a great place if you like reptiles. You would love it. The people that run the shop are nice and very helpful. They helped me with everything I needed and got was always right there when I had questions about all the animals. They know what they are doing and you can tell they love ther job and the animals. ( GooD People )..

Great place. The staff may look a little rough around the edges but are very helpful and offer great advice. I am a lady in my 40s and don't know what the other reviewer was talking about regarding treatment of women. I've been treated with nothing but respect and I am a frequent customer. I am helped immediately when I walk in no matter how busy the store is. On off hours there was even a nice guy who offered to let me see and hold many of the different reptiles and took a great deal of time to educate me about their requirements. Their cricket cards are a great deal if you don't want to do mail order and have 500 to 1000 stinky crickets in your house all at once. There is a bit of an odor problem if you are sensitive to that, but the cages look clean. That is to be expected with the number of reptiles and feeders they have available. I recommend this place highly. Some friendly animals roam freely in the store which is a great treat. I look forward to every visit.

Honestly, the animals in the store look great, and the people who run the place know what they're talking about. However, I have to second what others are saying and admit that the customer service there is AWFUL. I went with my boyfriend to get crickets and supers for our beardie, and while we were there I decided I wouldn't come back. I asked for the crickets and worms, and the guy behind the counter looked at my boyfriend, and confirmed the order. He repeated it back incorrectly and when I corrected him, he again looked to my (uncomfortable, at this point) boyfriend. I was pretty miffed at the obvious way he ignored me. Needless to say, despite possessing a set of ovaries, I do know a bit about reptiles and no one at all wants to be ignored in a place of business. If you like decent prices and don't mind help that comes with an attitude, go for it. If not, go to the Petsmart down the road. They have a bigger selection and better customer service.

Ive never had any problems with bad service. Any time we have been in the store the staff has been nice and helpful. The store has always appeared clean and the smell isnt more than you would expect for a humid store with multiple reptiles. I highly recommended Scales N Tails.
