I've dealt with several transmission shops in town over the past year for differential, transfer case and transmission solenoid repair and haven't been 100% satisfied. When my reverse went out in my '02 Explorer, Peak to Peak was extremely easy to talk to and I felt like they were shooting it to me straight. No matter what the repair news might be I want someone who will be honest with me and treat my car as if it was theirs, and not give me the run around. When I brought my car in, Charley (the owner) was there outside and went back to get someone to help me right away. Lyle was extremely kind and got me set up with a rental car to use during the duration of the repair. I had a few questions and he even took me back to the shop and explained the answer to my questions showing me a transmission that was already taken apart. (This is rare for other shops to do.) The repair took a few days longer than expected, but wasn't an issue given that I had a rental car to use! While they had my transmission apart they also noticed a leak from my transfer case, an issue I took into another past shop THREE times only for them to tell me it was fixed or not an issue at all. Peak to Peak graciously helped cover that repair for me. So far it's been several days since my overhauled transmission and so far so good. Let's hope the future is just as good as their service! :) Thanks Peak to Peak. Josh 2002 Ford Explorer 2year / 24,000 mile Warrantee
I visited ABC for the first time today. All I can say is that the service that I received was first class. I found an instrument cluster on a parts locator. I called ABC to verify that it was in stock. Monty said that he would check and call me back. About 1/2 hour later, he called and said it was in, but it was damaged so he would discount it below what was shown. I asked if he would hold it for me, and he said that he would. Many, if not most, pick 'n pull shops are first come, first serve, and have flat out refused to hold anything for me. So I drove down and they got the cluster for me. They let me go test it, which again is not SOP for many yards. The other guy behind the desk told me the price, which was the discounted price Monty had given me on the phone. No games, no "this is the locator price", no BS, just a transaction that I feel went well beyond what I could reasonably expect. ABC went beyond what I have experienced to date, and I will happily buy from them in the future.
We drove in to C/S from Oklahoma and 9 miles from our destination the transmission went out and we parked it in the closest parking lot. I looked at reviews online and found Peak to Peak the closest to my destination. I called first thing monday morning and spoke with Charlie. He is the best. He got my car towed that morning looked at everything and I was able to pick up on Wednesday afternoon. I did need a new transmission but he also gave us a 24 mo warrenty. We live in Oklahoma and he would have it fixed here if something went wrong. We had to take it back to him on friday as iat first it wouldn't start but we got it in. We found out that if car is low or out of oil the computer won't let it run. He paid for the oil and put it in., Even though it had nothing to do with the transmission! His customer service is the best. He will not take advantage of out of towners! I would recommend them to anyone!
