McArther's Tae Kwon Do & Fitness

Outstanding! My shy daughter has been attending for 2 years now, and LOVES it! Master McArther is extremely qualified in tae kwon do and koryo gumdo (sword skills), having won gold medals at the world games. Even better, though, Master McArther is a GREAT INSTRUCTOR! He breaks skills down so they are easily understood, gives lots of positive feedback, and holds high standards that students, families and he can take pride in. A very family-friendly environment, where students (from 5-65!) know they've not just "paid and put in enough time to move up,' but that they've earned the belt they have. In addition, Master McArther encourages the honesty, integrity, perseverance, self-control, focus, etc. as skills that make a person successful in LIFE, not just in tkd. He is active with Character Council in the Collinsville Schools, provides support and demonstrations for Scouting events, and Relay for Life events. Master McArther talks the talk, AND walks the walk! Stop in for a visit during any lesson and talk to any of the parents observing. Very highly recommended!

You won't find a better TKD facility than McArther's Tae Kwon Do & Fitness. Master McArther is an excellent instructor for people of all ages. You will learn proper kicking and hitting techniques, effective self-defense, valauble life lessons, and achieve a high level of fitness. My son has learned a variety of skills along with developing as a person. My husband has enjoyed his classes as well. We highly respect Master McArther and recommend him with the utmost confidence.

If you want your kids, or for that matter yourself, to learn things the correct way this is the place to be. Master McArther will not promise you a black belt in 2-3 years like those other schools, but there is a reason as my kids found out. They were not being taught the correct way of doing things. As Master McArther always says being a black belt is so much more than memorizing movements. He has helped my kids a great deal. You will find the life messages he gives in class to be worth the fee he charges in itself.

Master Mc Arther has done a great job of helping to develop our son in both TKD and in life. Our son was in another school for several years that only wanted our money not to teach. Mc Arthers is focused on teaching a martial art.
