I have never bought a puppy from the Puppy Corral but the truth is, I didn't want to rate the business because I haven't bought there but it insisted so I did.. Anyway, There is a chance of common place infections in dogs just as there are with any other type of animal no matter where it comes from. Just because you bought a dog and it ended up with some ailment doesn't mean that it came from a "puppy mill". I would MUCH rather buy a dog from a "breeder" than I would a person who just had a litter of puppies in their floor at home and knows nothing about raising dogs. I grew up on a farm with animals, cows, horses, pigs, dogs, cats, chickens and there are ALWAYS problems that arise. That does NOT mean that the dogs are inadequately cared for that simply means that some times nature takes its course and there are unforseen things that some time occur no matter where the animal comes from.. ITS LIFE. Thats how life works. If you don't want the responsibility of taking on those problematic things that MAY or may NOT occur, then you simply should not become a pet owner. Just because you get upset, things happen doesn't mean anyone is "negligent" . It simply means that sometimes nature has its own course / intent. Just as in human ailments, no matter how many preventions we take, sometimes nature has a mind of its own. Use your common sense when you purchase. I you can't afford a dog or pet or you are unwilling to take on the responsibility of hundreds ( maybe thousands) of dollars in unforseeable vet bills, then you simply you make a GROWN UP decision and not buy a dog.
