Great selection of all types of foods and if they don't have it, the owner and manager surely will help you get it. Lots of different fruits that are always fresh, crispy vegetables (not frozen or limp); Great cold section of cheeses, drinks, eggs (very reasonable). They have a meat section (I'm a vegetarian) but for those who still eat it; they have it. Its so difficult to find Stage 1 jar baby food, but they stock it.
Also stock pet food (dog and cat), bird seed (must feed the birds everyone; feed the birds, they eat the bugs that you hate, cat litter, dry cat and dog crunchies. (if they don't have what u want, ask them to try and get it; they aim to please. Of course, their prices for pet food is slightly higher but when you have a pet that needs to be fed, its so much easier to walk to the corner and get a few things.
Another big PLUS, saving money; SENIOR DAYS ON WEDNESDAY with 10% off; ALSO; every time you shop, you get points added to your plastic swipey card or just use your telephone number. Before you know it, your points add up to money off; I don't know of any other grocery store in College Point that gives so much. Oh yes, there is a one other that does Senior Day (but does not offer points on your card). They open early and only wish they stayed open a little than 10pm; OH YES, THEY CARRY METRO CARDS; take a trip there; you'll be happy you did.
