My 12 yr old son had a pleasant dental experience with Dr. Anderson on 3-19-2013 . She was nice, kind and professional and kept the parents informed. The front office was professional and courteous. Unlike the previous reviewer, we did not have a bad experience with this clinic. I wish the reviewer would provide additional details like who you spoke to and who you talk to. The front office is a busy place and that should be expected. I like the fact that this practice allows the parents to accompany their child (minors) unlike Dugas Family Dental (also off Potranco Rd) where parents are not allowed in the backroom (kind of suspicious to me and on another note, I did not leave my child in the backroom by himself.. and yes..I actually told the front office manager that she can call SAPD and escort me out once my son's cleaning is complete.. I will not leave my son's side in a backroom with strangers). So far, I haven't had double billing issues or appt mix up from the front office unlike Lemon Tree Dental (which is also off Potranco next to Papa Johns). We kept getting double billing and no one would contact us back even though we had already paid the amount. So from one parent to another, this appear to be the best dental practice off Potranco Road for kids. Another note: if your child gags when taking xrays, it is probably that the dental practice is not a pedi practice. Lemon tree dental did not have the small inserts for him when taking dental xrays and he just kept gagging.

I took my child for the first time to Stone Oaks NW location: Dominion Pediatric Dentistry. I was told that even though it was nice it wasn't as kid friendly as the one on Stone Oak. I hadn't taken my daughter previously as she was so scared any treatment would have been futile. But let me say that I am so glad that I found this place. The lobby is completely kid friendly. My daughter watched movies and played while she waited. When she was called, the focus was totally on her. Super friendly staff-techs and Dr. Renee were all great. They explained step by step what they were going to do before they did it. My child was able to touch and hold equipment and "feel" it before they began cleaning. Xrays were also explained to her fully and they waited until she was comfortable before proceeding. They gave her character toothbrush, used flavored latex gloves, gave her prizes, a balloon, etc. plus she could watch tv if she wanted to. She took 5 little stuffed animals and the tech made it a point to "clean" each animal teeth which had my daughter in stitches. She loved it and her apprehension level was minimal to none!! Thank you Dominion Pediatric for wonderful service!!! I have insurance but if I didn't, I would sacrifice paying out of pocket for such good service. I read the prior review...use the props...it helps with the very little ones. My child just turned 5.
My child is a patient of Dr. Jeffords., She has been her patient for a couple of years now. When I first brougt my child to see her, I thought I was coming in to see just another dentist that was going to rush us in and out of her office like cattle. I mean, who really wants to deal with a scared child and a paroniod mother with a million questions? Well, not only did she answer every question that I had to shoot out at her, but,she did not make me feel rushed nor ignorant for asking her every question.I was given options that were at best interest for my baby . I was offered hospital or sedation, it was MY choice, what was best for MY CHILD. and also allowed to be in the room with her as long as I did not have another child with me at the time of her visit for dental treatment. Thank You Dr. Jeffords for making ME comfortable in a very scary and uncomfortable place. The dentist office. You have a wonderful front desk, always welcoming .Thank you Liz for your smile when we come into a scary place with our babies . And all the staff for being who you are. My Child's Dentist. Ms.Garcia
