Budget Inn & Suites

The check in staff was incredibly unfriendly from the beginning of the check in process. The owner yelled at me in regards to my mother being outside taking my small dog out of the vehicle. His exact words were to "make sure that he does not sh!t all over the place" though he was not attempting to use the bathroom at all. He continued to yell at me and was using such aggressive actions towards me that my mother entered the check-in lobby because she could see that he was being hostile from outside in the car. As soon as my mother walked in, he stopped yelling and posturing somewhat. I am a 29 year old female, but look younger. I believe that he made a quick judgement about me due to my age. Upon arriving in the room, the towels and washclothes were dirty, the bathroom floor was covered in human hair, there is exposed rough concrete. I strongly encourage anyone who is considering staying here to find another place to stay-even sleeping in your car at a rest stop would be better!

Barry & Rekha were both very friendly and made our stay a pleasure. We arrived late at night but they still did everything they could to ensure we enjoyed our stay

Reading reviews, people had a wonderful experience with Barry and the Budget Inn & Suites. However, I received a condescending and rude experience! I am guessing it is easier to do this over the phone than in person.



I am so glad you called me, Barry, to ask about the double reservation. I would hate to have brought my family to a spiritually toxic environment like yours.



When I called Sunday night to say one was a mistake, you said to email the cancellation. I did, and I have the sent email to prove it. I'm guessing you didn't receive that or the emails I sent to make sure both were cancelled. If you are the owner and have control over sending credit card payments through, why couldn't you simply cancel it if you know there is something wrong with your email system? I am still waiting for your response, by the way.



You called to see which registration "was legit." When I explained how I called Sunday, and you said to send an email to cancel, and I said I had sent one--you said you never received one. Then, as you had another call, you said you had to hang up. And you did.



When I called back and gave you the friendly "we were disconnected," you said, "no, I had another call, so I hung up on you."



Let me articulate your condescending language when I called to cancel both reservations. You asked me about the email I received, and as I was upset about it, sure, I got the name of your "Inn" wrong. I said it was Budget Suites and Inn. You said, "Why don't you learn how to read?"



Again, I asked, if you didn't receive my email and you were the owner after all, couldn't you handle it? Your response: "You will have to send emails to cancel or both payments will be sent through."



Your abusiveness and power-trip is repulsive. I am glad I stayed away.

Exceptional service. If passing through and needing a place to sleep in the future, I would definitely do business again. Thanks for the great stay and being so kind even though it was so late in the evening.

We were travelling through North west Kansas in October 2010 and stumbled onto this little "diamond in the rough"

It is a cozy motel with extremely comfortable beds, micros and fridges in rooms. Large flat screen tvs with CNN& HBO our favorite channels. They provide free access to high speed internet in rooms.

Breakfast every morning and free use of computer and free copies and fax.

The managers were wonderful people, very friendly and helpful.

We would certianly stay there again and highly recommend it to budget conscious travellers. They had the best rates in town.

These folks really know how to take care of a place. Excellent managers- warm, friendly, and competent.
