La Quinta Inn & Suites Coeur D'alene East

I booked my stay on hotel.com, and paid 85 dollars. Arrived at the hotel, and they asked me for my card for incidentals. Without telling me they placed a hold on my bank account for $50. I asked about the clerk about the hold the following morning on check out. He told me it was because of poverty in the area, and they wanted to insure that I paid my bill (which I already had). The clerk further informed me that the charge would drop off in 1 to 2 hours. I called back 3 days later, and was told that the hold would last 7 to 14 business days. This shows that this La Quinta location has a complete lack of trust in there customers, and degrades me as a person by assuming I will not honor my debts. If you want to be compared to a homeless vagrant stay at this hotel.

This hotel is in a very nice area. In regards to the pricing, I thought the price I paid was very fair. The room I stayed in was overall clean and well kept. Certainly a nice hotel to stay at and worth checking out.
