Aquatic Pets

Started a new saltwater tank recently and I was having a lot of trouble. Most of my fish were dying so I decided to try a different shop than the place where I bought my tank.
I found Aquatic Pets and went in to give it a try. The sales person was very helpful and not in a hurry to sell me more stuff. He wanted to figure out what was going on with my tank and get it fixed before he sold me more animals- i liked that!!
Its been tow months and my tank is doing great and most importantly my fish are thriving thanks to Aquatic Pets!

I started a saltwater reef tank a few months ago and I was having some trouble maintaining it. I got fed up with the store where i bought the tank so I decided to try some other stores.
The first day i went into Aquatic Pets i told the owner about my troubles with my tank and he spent almost an hour helping me to solve my problems!

Its been a month now and my aquarium is looking much better! The owner is very nice and sure does know a ton about aquariums. I highly recommend Aquatic Pets!!

Hands down the best saltwater store that I have ever been to!! I could not belive the variety of fish and coral frags- they have hundreds and hundreds of the coolest coral frags and the frag packs are at a great price too!!

My friend told me about Aquatic Pets so I went to check it out. I didnt expect much because pretty much all of the other stores I had been to were not that impressive.

To my delight, I was totally suprised!! Aquatic Pets has a great selection of saltwater fish and coral. In fact, I have never seen so many animals in one place.

When I started talking to the owner and mentioned my surprise he said that is what sets him apart from the other stores- the selection of livestock but also the quality.

I have to agree. The animals at aquatic Pets looked great!

Excellent saltwater store! I was having issues with other stores because their fish would always die on me, then I found aquatic pets, and have been successful for over 6 months!! They have all sorts of helpful information, and the owner really knows his stuff!

Plain & simple owner is rude. Poor information is given to entering the aquarium hobby. No you can not put fish into a saltwater aquariun that is a fresh setup. They prey on individuals lack of experience. sell you products that you hve to replace to actulally sustain a saltwater aquarium. This store is only out for your money no experience hobbiest would ever shop or take advise form this shop.

I've been in the hobby for over 25 years. After a long hiatus I decided to set up a new tank and give it another shot. I went to various places in Fresno-Clovis and outside the Valley as well. I visited aquatic pets and found the staff knowledgeable and helpful well beyond what I found elsewhere. I've been doing business with Aquatic Pets for well over a year now. Store deals exclusively with salt water fish and invertebrates. No freshwater anything. Even though the place is relatively small, they are well stocked and can get anything you need quickly if they don't stock it. Prices are comparable to big box stores. Some items are priced higher, some the same, some lower. They do give you a better price if you pay cash or debit than if you pay with a credit card. Good selection of fish and unlike some of the other ratings, I have not been able to find ONE dead fish in their tanks -ever. In fact, I've been unable to buy some fish that were deemed to be potentially stressed because the staff would simply not sell it in that condition. As others point out, they do not have a "warranty" on their fish. Learned many years back that the best warranty is in my opinion to go to the store and see the specimen for a week or two (or longer) before making a purchase or have a nice quarantine tank set up at home for new arrivals. I found Aquatic Pets stands behind the products they sell and have had the owner, Bryan, OK the exchange of two problematic UV sterilizers (both different brands, different models) at no charge. The staff have always offered options when selling equipment and have pointed out the pros and cons of every item. Most recently tried to get a new skimmer and was shown every type and price available, ultimately decided to keep the one I have and that was no big deal, no push to try to sell something thats not absolutely necessary.



The biggest advantage over other shops is service. The staff are quite knowledgeable and willing to guide you through the process of setting up fish and reef tanks with relative ease. They offer water testing for customers for free and advice on correcting problems found. Personally, I have not had any problems with the health of the fish bought from Aquatic Pets and actually have fish that have been in the tank for as long as the tank has been set up (15 months now). I've been successful with their invertebrates as well. After previous failures with keeping corals, I can say their guidance played a great part of the current success. As some have pointed out, their selection may not be as wide as other stores at times but specimens are in great condition and you can always ask when the next shipment will arrive. I trusted Aquatic Pets enough that they provided maintenance for my home aquarium while I was away on a trip earlier this month of June. Bryan will even answer questions if you text him to his cellphone during business hours. To my knowledge none of the other shops in town provide this level of service.

I just got a great deal on a larger aquarium for my cichlids. The staff was very helpful and explained the process of switching from my old tank to the new tank.

Hand down the best saltwater fish store around! Tons of exotic cool looking fish and other stuff that i have never seen before.

The owner, Bryan, is a great guy and he even gave me his personal phone number if I ever have any questions about my aquarium. I love this store!!

Great store and excellent fish and corals. Everything i see is healthy and thriving. I will definitely be coming back here in the near future.

There is no other place in town I would trust with my fish or my corals. You just have to walk in the door to see the cleanliness and quality of his tanks or spend ten minutes with his staff to know they know they understand their product and their customer. Great job! Clovis is lucky to have them.

owner of this shop is simply rude... ask anybody in the hobby... avoid dealing with such a rude person and go elsewhere. his so called "deals" wont get you a warranty on the tanks and his store tanks contain copper.... avoid this seller.
