He obtained his D.V.M degree form Pant Nagar University of Agriculture and Technology, in India, in 1973. He worked as a government employee for for 2 years, and in November 1975 he immigrated to the United States. Dr. Sran completed his advanced studies at UC Davis, and passed his required credentials to practice veterinary medicine in the United States. He worked with several colleagues over 5 years at a multi-doctor practice in Los Angeles . Then in 1985, he moved to Fresno and bought Alta Animal Hospital and has been running a very successful practice ever since. Dr. Sran is hard working, compassionate and very motivated to provide the best care and medical treatment available for the welfare of your companion animals and exotic pets.

Had my first visit with Dr. Sran yesterday. My dog was limping and favoring one leg. Relocating to the Fresno area I wanted to find a caring vet. Coming from Reno, I can only say I hit the jackpot with Dr. Sran. His bedside manner, not only for the pet, but the pet parent is exemplary, along with his determination to get to the root of the problem. I have now scheduled wellness check up appointments for my other 3 legged children!
There are many vets in the area who are much better than Dr. Sran who won't try to milk every penny out of you that they can get and who actually care about you and your pets. If I could give zero stars, I would.
We love and trust Dr. Sran and his staff. We first went several years ago on the recommendation of a fellow animal lover and friend when we were having an animal emergency. We were able to get in immediately. Since that time, we have had the opportunity to build a great relationship with Dr. Sran. He always treats us and our animals with kindness, compassion and respect. He is truly a wonderful vet and we feel fortunate to be able to take our dogs to someone who cares so much. He is also extremely competent, and actually saved our dog's degloved paw from potentially being amputated with a sugar treatment that he had read about in a journal article.
Our beloved 11 year old chihuahua was suddenly having a very hard time breathing. Our regular vet and 3 other offices couldn't get us in. Alta got us an appointment right away. Sadly, our baby did not make it. The doctor was honest, knowledgeable, kind, and sympathetic. During the hardest thing we've ever had to do, we were comforted by his skill and compassion. Thank you, Doctor and staff.
Dr Stan and his entire staff do truly care about the pet. When we went in the first time they greeted my wife, Courtney (our youngest furchild/ dog) and me. When we returned for the followup the receptionist greeted Courtney first (by name) and then us. This shows that the staff do care. This is so much like another clinic in downtown Clovis (name has something to do with "saddles"... Please do you fur children a favor and go to ALTA Animal Hospital.... Five Stars is NOT enough.... I have raved about them all over Clovis. Too bad we are moving across the country...
