Due to this, our goal is to schedule you with the dentist first, where we will take digital radiographs (x-rays) of your teeth and supporting tissues, review your medical and dental history as well as take current vitals. We will complete a Comprehensive Exam and review our radiographs, intra-oral pictures, and findings with you. As we review our findings, we will develop a customized treatment plan to your needs.

X-rays
Dental X-rays can now be taken using sensors that transmit the image directly to a computer monitor. These image help the patient understand the dentist's explanations more easily and enables the dentist to "zoom in" on a specific area of the tooth. Another very important advantage to this technology is that it reduces the amount of radiation by 90%.

Teeth Cleaning
Our friendly staff is dedicated to caring for you and your entire family’s oral health and well-being. We take time to create a personalized treatment for each patient. While many believe that at-home oral hygiene alone is sufficient in maintaining good oral health, regular dental cleaning appointment are crucial to rounding out your routine. Without these, the teeth and gums are susceptible to infection and decay. This can be detrimental to your oral and overall health.
Fluoride Treatment
Topical fluoride is provided by fluoridated toothpastes and rinses. Additional fluoride treatments are applied as needed by your dentist during regular check-ups.
Dental Sealants
Sealants can help prevent decay. Sealants are a white or tooth-shaded material that is bonded to the chewing surfaces of the back teeth, effectively sealing off deep grooves and pits. This makes the grooves of the teeth smoother so your toothbrush can more easily keep the tooth clean.

Root Canal Treatment
Root canal treatment is necessary when the pulp (soft tissue inside your teeth containing blood vessels, nerves and connective tissue) becomes inflamed or diseased. The process of having a root canal involves having you dentist or endodontist (a dentist who specializes in treating the insides of teeth) removes the diseased pulp. The pulp chamber and root canal(s) of the tooth are then cleaned and sealed. If the infected pulp is not removed, pain and swelling can result, which may require the tooth to be removed.

Deep Cleaning
Scaling and Root Planing - a common non-surgical treatment for periodontal disease. By using special instruments, we remove bacteria and infection from the unhealthy deep pockets around the teeth below the gum line. This is often referred to as a "deep cleaning".

Dentures
A partial denture or "removable bridge" replaces one or more missing teeth, but there must be teeth remaining for the partial to attach to. A partial will prevent other teeth from shifting, preserving your remaining teeth. Partials should be removed daily and cleaned thoroughly. The staff at Clinton Dental Care will advise you on how to properly care for your partial.
Overdentures
An overdenture usually requires that at least 2 roots be kept. These roots may be used to hold the denture in place by placing inserts in the roots and in the denture. The denture then attaches to the roots. These roots also give support to the denture and help retain the ridge the denture sits on.

Dental Implants
Dental Implants have been used successfully for many years. The implant itself is a post that is surgically placed in the jaw. A prosthesis (artificial tooth or teeth) is then attached to the post. Dental implants involve cooperation between an oral surgeon and our office. The surgical phase of treatment is completed by the oral surgeon, and the restorative phase is completed at our office.
