Today, your Doctor and dental assistant, have prepared your tooth/teeth so that a dental laboratory can fabricate a custom, permanent crown or bridge (porcelain or gold) to protect and restore your tooth. While this is taking place, you will have a plastic, temporary crown or bridge that will protect the prepared tooth and allow you to eat and function in relative comfort. In about two weeks your permanent crown or bridge will be returned from the dental laboratory, ready to be permanently bonded on your tooth/teeth.

Your decision to preserve your tooth and entire dentition with a permanent crown or fixed bridge is a wise one. These restorations restore and protect your teeth so they can function normally. They prevent the collapse of the dental arch, improve chewing ability, comfort, speech and appearance.

Drs. Oswald and Siedlecki perform a full range of dental services for children and adults: crowns, bridges, esthetic (tooth color) fillings, whitening, bonding, root canal therapy, removable dentures and partials, oral surgery and orthodontics. Finally, if your temporary should become loose or dislodged, place some toothpaste or denture adhesive inside the crown and place it back on your tooth. Or, you may call our office to have it recemented at no charge when it is convenient for you. If you should have any problems or questions before your next scheduled visit, please call us. Drink cool liquids only until the anesthetic wears off. For the first 24 hours following the oral surgery procedure, go on a soft diet and drink plenty of fluids. Avoid both hot liquids and hot foods (including spicy) for 24 hours.

Received her Bachelor of Science in Biology degree from Bowling Green State University in 1993. She then graduated from Case Western Reserve University School of Dentistry in 1998 and then went on to complete a one year Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at University Hospitals in Cleveland in 1999. Dr. Siedlecki joined Dr. Oswald's practice in the summer of 1999 and became his partner in 2006.
