I was quoted a different price on the phone than what I was asked to pay... I was told I needed 2 packs of hair and for $10 a pack.. They asked how long I wanted the braids to be... Wanted them mid back..When they were done the braids were to my bu**.. So the owner said my braids were so small and so long that was extra... About $60 extra.. The braids were basic singles true enough they were very long not my fault.. So the price goes from $250 + $20 for the hair + she wanted $60 more because of the length so thats $330 NO WAY I was paying that.. Prices need to be clear in the begining.. All in all I did love my braids so I ended up paying $280..
I have been looking for a barber who knows what he is doing for years! Finally I found a barber shop downtown cleveland who is perfect. The best barber in Cleveland. He has recently moved from colonial marketplace to the leader building. If you are looking for a barber who knows what he is doing check him out, his name is Pete! You will be surprised on how many compliments you get. He uses the good old straight razors with heated shaving cream along with the old fashion vacuum to make sure your hair free when you leave on the neckline, and always good conversation!
I found Pete on Yellow Pages after my previous barber in the BP bldg. retired. I'd tried out a few others (Irish barber in Rocky River; Rockefeller bldg. downtown) but the cuts were mediocre. There aren't many barbers left in downtown, but it's convenient to go on a lunch hour. Pete took his time and gave me an excellent cut. The shop is clean (unlike some I've seen). He's laid back and easy to talk to. I'll be a loyal customer
