This clinic is excellent. They are caring and always friendly. I have not ever had a bad doctor when I was there. My problems were always handled professionally within their capabilities. When I needed blood work, or other tests, I was sent to a different facility for them, and I didn't pay any more money for them. A donation of $10 is required for new patients, and a donation of $5 for those who have been there before. They have assisted me in obtaining my more expensive medications for free from the pharmaceutical companies under those companies' guidelines. It is sometimes difficult to get an appointment there as it is first call, first serve. But most of the time I have received a phone call after I left a message asking me to come in the following week. There are some things they cannot do there. Well women check ups are to be done elsewhere. They do not give shots there. They also cannot dispense prescriptions for drugs with narcotics in them. You do have to bring a current utility bill with you to the clinic to prove you live within the boundaries of Johnson County that they serve. When I have forgotten mine, they have allowed me to call the utility company to request they fax the current bill to the clinic so I could still be seen.
All personelle in the office are kind & competent. Dr. Aboukhair genuinely seems to care about his patients. He has a great sense of humor & bed-side manor & eases your nerves. He's a great guy and great physician. I have and will continue (to) recommend him. I just wish he were a GP so that I could go to him for all of mine & my family's health problems.
She was very nice & made me feel comfortable. She could tell I was nervous cause it had been several years, ok 7, since I had seen my OB/GYN. She took the time to talk to me. She fixed my problem. She was great.
