Camptown Rv

The sales girl was very nice, we had no problem with her at all. The owner Dave, was the worst. The used camper we were looking at had allot of big cracks in the caulking on the roof. There was obvious water damage in the front and back of the camper. We were ok with that, as long as they resealed the roof. Dave insisted it was not water damage but agreed to repair the roof and service all the trailer systems, but would not list them on the contract. They have a NON_REFUNDABLE $500 down payment and will not list the repairs they promised on the contract. When I talked to Dave he was harsh, rude and a total jacka$$. Dave told me he did not need my business and that he had 20 years experience with trailers so he did not need to list the repairs he promised to make on the contract and returning refunds was too much paper work so he did not do that ether. He flat out told me if I didn't like it to take my business elsewhere. I tried to talk to him and explain my concern with not listing work to be done. Dave has a nasty attitude and apparently does not need to sell trailers. He was still talking crap to me over the phone when I hung up. I feel sorry for his employees that have to put up with that mouth every day. I don't have to and will gladly take my business elsewhere.

We purchased a new Jayco light travel trailer last June from them. The owner did half of the paperwork and transactions. They were friendly, sort of. They seemed annoyed with having to do the paperwork. However, the tour was fantastic. The service tech knew his Jayco inside and out. We were impressed with his presentation and friendly personality. We felt like we'd made a good choice going to this dealership.

Later we had issues with the microwave and faucets leaking. I phoned David and he said he'd return my phone call about the service that needed to be done. Days and weeks passed. I phoned several times and got the answering machine or a gal working the phones. He would return my call they assured me. He never did. He completely blew us off. We drove to another dealership and asked for warranty work. I was so floored that a businessman could be so unprofessional I phoned Jayco to tell them about it. They said they would look into why he felt a return phone call was too much. They filed a complaint against his dealership.

We won't go back for service because if the owner can't show courtesy then what of the employees?
