Every time I go there it is great except 1 time on a very busy friday night. the manager kept rushing the at the table/grill cook and the rice was not cooked all the way thru, other than that 1 time it has always been great. we dont go on the weekend nights anymore.

The food was pretty good and the chef put on a good show but the service was awful. We had a party of 4 and one of us asked to change what drink she had and the waitress asked her why? When she brought the drink back it looked like there was spit in it. And when we got our checks she wrote the tip on for everyone at the table and none of us wanted to tip her that much. Other that crappy service it wast horrible but ill never go.back again

If I had to review Shogun on their food, I would have rated a 4. The food is great, if you can tolerate the rude service of a particular waitress. I am unsure if she is the manager, owner or just an employee. This is the rudest waitress I have experienced anywhere that I have ate. One of the first time I ate here, she embarrassed another waitress in front of everyone at our table. She told her that her hair looked a mess and she needed to wash it and fix it before she came to work. My personal opinion of the girls hair is that it did not look bad, at all. Also, if it did..why would you say it in front of so many people? She could have easily pulled her aside and told her this privately. I have also witnessed this lady literally chase someone out the door yelling at them for a TIP! They tipped her but in her opinion, it wasnt the correct percentage! The last time I went to this restaurant, I met some of my family there for a family members birthday. A friend made a birthday cake and we sat it on our table. This waitress walked by and told us that we couldnt bring our own cake because they sold them there. We just ignored it because we had already ordered our food and we werent going to take the cake to the hot car to melt while we ate our food. After we were done with our meal, tickets were handed out. Total of 6 tickets because each family member paid for their own food. 5 minutes after out tickets were handed out, the lady came by our table and tapped on tickets and said ""PAY....PAY!"" Completely rushing us to pay her! Also, on my aunts tickets was a 20% gratuity tip added to her ticket! The waitress sold us because we were a party of 6, she had to do this. Even though we each paid for our own food! Another complaint about this place is that the servings of the food are decreasing fast! Everytime I go, I get less and less. Everytime I go, I order the vegtable plate. The last time, all of a sudden ""noodles didnt come with the vegtable plate!"" Thats weird, because they did every other time Ive been there. The sad thing is, I could go on and on about this place. If you can handle the rude service, the food isnt bad. Just make sure you tip the correct percentage or you might be chased into the parking lot!
i've been to this restaurant several times and i have never been let down. i love the food i love the service and i love their prices. the thing that i like most about this place is that they have exceptional food without the long wait that they usually have at Hananoki. i also like the food better here than any other that is like this in the area.

I've been to Shogun several times and I always leave satisified. I love the hibachi- yummy shrimp, rice, and veggies. And the sauces, they are good too. I craved the salad dressing with my first pregnancy - They'd sell me styrofoam cups full of dressing to take home! Sometimes I get a california roll or something. Always pleased with that. Wayyy better than Hananoki! If I still lived in Clarksville I'd go tonight!

I'd have to say that Shogun is the best sushi in clarksville. Not only is it pretty good tasting but they don't skimp on the slices of fish on the rainbow roll. Another sushi resturant in Clarksville slices so thin, you hardly get a good taste of it. But they charge the same price as Shogun.. and I like getting the best for my buck. I've had sushi several places around the world.. and I'd rank Shogun in my top 10. Granted, being on the coast allows for fresher fish and possible better sushi.. but Shogun does one hell of a job for a town like Clarksville. The service is friendly... the chefs too... they love to chat while they fix your food.. and often will make a few things for you to try on the side for free... just remember to tip them and they will always remember you.\r I know they have the other side for habotchi (sp?).. but I'm not really into that.. so...not sure if it's good or not. Hope you enjoy!
