Cash America Pawn

This past April, my main man Zamari had a Pokémon card in his possession; it was a Gold plated Charizard Pokémon card, and the item seemed to be worth value (because it was all gold…plated). Therefore, Zamari and I wanted to know how much it was worth and if he could sell it for a profit (My little businessman thought it was worth at least $200). As he was researching the value of his card, I researched the estimated value of the card via eBay and other sources. Unfortunately, the card was not worth much (maybe $15 max). However, I wanted to refrain from displeasing him with my findings. I gave him a positive affirmation that it may be worth much money. Next, we decided to look up the nearest pawnshop within our area to attempt to sell his card. We found a local Pawn shop in the area (Information is pictured below). When we arrived at the location, I asked Zamari to stay in the vehicle while I spoke with the employees to arrange a sale. In reality, I did not want him to become disappointed if they were unwilling to buy the card.
Unfortunately, the pawn shop did not accept Pokémon cards as a product they would purchase. Yet again, I wanted to refrain from displeasing Zamari with my findings, so as a result, I asked them for a favor; I explained the situation to them and kindly requested them to arrange a “sale” of the card to brighten up the day for my son; fortunately, the fantastic staff agreed! I also explained to them that I would give them $40.00 to “buy” the card from Z and to make it look as “official” as possible; they ensured me that they would do so, and it was a pleasure for them to be a part of this wholesome experience.
