Took my dog there for vomiting and persistent wrenching. They decided they had to do two X-rays, hospitalization for 24 hour to the tune of $1300 for that. They had administered fluids and an anote, tic was the entire treatment through an IV, which despite paying for enhanced level nursing care, my dog ripped out. What kind of nursing care was that? And guess what, I got charged for additional radiologists for a consult to look at the X-rays! Really? This wasn’t a suspected tumor or something.

Then I didn’t have the dog home 3 hours, and his IV leg swells up and gets red, and my dog can’t use the leg and is shaking from pain. Guess what, a bad IV job. I called them about it, they said ice it, or I could bring him in for another visit. I lost it, I told them he was coming back and I wouldn’t be charged for another consult because they caused the problem that he had.

In fairness to them they did not, charge,me,for, the second trip. Can I say guilty of all of the above.

I find the comments below disturbing. We took our little rescue dog to them because his left rear knee cap became dislodged and wouldn't return to its original position. Very painful for him. We were seen rather quickly and had the surgery done the next day. We were give the cost of the procedure up front and any recurrent visits. We expected it to be expensive since we did not have any pet health insurance. Please don't give these folks a hard time. It is a business you know.

Based on my experience, the care here is excellent. And, yes, it will be expensive. That being said, I have to agree with the comment below that mentioned the cllinic's OBSESSION about being paid for services. Can't remember the exact details with one of my beloved dogs. I must have forgotten my check book and not had my credit card with me. The woman behind the counter (technician or DVM -- couldn't tell) wouldn't give me my animal to take home. I had to race around in my car to find an ATM (several miles away) and withdraw cash. Then return and fork over the money to the vaguely rude woman. The veterianarian I then saw when my dog was released apologized and said she hoped I didn't think they were holding my Labrador for ransom! This was about twelve years ago.

I brought another beloved dog to the CARE center for treatment about five years ago. The medical care was excellent. However, all this time later, I do recall that one of the young women at the front desk was an incredibly cold and unsmiling bit h. I should have complained about her. I guess that's what I'm doing now.

Worse Care Ever!

Took my two year old cat in due to having trouble breathing and little rospone when talked to. They made us wait an hour before they ran a credit check. We where denied care and sent away. My baby died in my daughter's arms while we despritly searched for another vet. He was more than a pet we found him on our front porch at two months old and he warmed his way into all our hearts. I will never take another pet to them again. I know it cost but they could have gave us help or sent us to another vet. They where cold and uncaring to our feelings or needs. Its one thing to be poor but to let an animal due because its family cannot put the money up front is heartless!
