As a Chinese Food aficionado, I think Red Pepper is the best little hole in the wall chinese restaurant in Clifton. I've been going there since they has a real hole in the wall restaurant further down McMillian Ave by the old Yacht Club. You can eat lunch for under $5 and dinner for under $8 and the portions are decent. A few Christmases ago, I had them make me mass portions of 3 different dishes and served it to all my guests who raved about the food. My favorite: Hunan Double with Chicken and Shrimp, although the shrimp is small, it's a tasty dish. If you want a nice romantic dinner or gourmet chinese, this is not the place, but its perfect for a cheap meal with fast service. For what it is, I give, it 5 stars!
Blue Gibbon has everything you need - affordable tasty food in a clean restaurant. Thankfully, this is one of the few asian restaurants that doesn't decorate out of the Lillian Vernon catalog. No hanging red lanterns or tacky placemats with the chinese astrology signs. Just amazingly inexpensive good food. Lunch is the best bargain in town - you can get soup and an entree for around $6. They offer Vietnamese and Singapore inspired dishes on their lunch menu. Be prepared to wait for a table. Their large dining room fills quickly!
I visited this restaurant for the first time today and I was very pleased with the food, the service, and the prices! The restaurant was very nicely decorated and had a very clean appearance. The wait staff were very friendly and accommodating. Some of them did not speak fluent English but they were still very friendly. The food was very delicious and fresh. The buffet had a nice variety of food and I enjoyed the hibachi grill and the fresh sushi!
Fantastic Wok at the Winton Road location provides the most tasty and freshly made Chinese Carry Out. The General Tso Dish is my favorite. The chicken tasts fresh and crispy under the sauce. The vegtables are not over cooked and the sauce is full of seasoned flavor. I have visited other Ashian resturants and still find the Winton Road Fantastic Wok is still my favoite. I find the Winton Road location is even better than their Kenard location.
This is the best place in Cincinnati that I have found for Chinese food. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere for dine-in, especially compared to your average strip-mall Chinese place, and their lunch buffet is above average. The delivery service is a little bit slow sometimes, but the drivers are very courteous and the food is always fresh and hot when it arrives. I don't mind waiting for a little Rong Tan's anyway. Highly Recommended.
For over 25 years, the Blue Gibbon has been a favorite for chinese food in the Cincinnati area. Their menu is known for their freshness and high quality cuisines, but also features dishes that cater to various tastes. The customer service is outstanding and the staff is very effective in helping selecting an entree. The fried rice is really good, and you can even ask them to make it spicy for you...
Their fried green beans may just be my favorite appetizer ever. We love PF Chang's. It's hard to pick a favorite dish. When I want to be "good" I go with the steamed salmon but when I'm bad the combo fried rice just can't be beat! I've never had any problem with the carry out from the Rookwood location. Bartenders and servers are always great (even on a busy weekend.)
We had gone to several little Chinese Restaurants in the area and were getting tired of them and decided to check this one out. We were pleasantly surprised! We don't go downtown to restaurants so for the general area of this restaurant, it is the best in our opinion. We will continue to eat there when we want Chinese - take out or eat in - either one.
After reading the reviews I was very excited to try this place. But now I am only disappointed. The food was cold, the service was just strange, if that didn't sell me the sign on the bathroom door did, "restrooms are video-ed and monitored for your protection." Sketchy to say the least. Save yourself and don't eat here.
This place has some of the most amazing Chinese food on the planet. I have been going back for years and have the nicest people in the world serve me. It's has a great bar as well. One of my favorite Chinese places on the planet and it will be yours too
