Christiansburg Dental

Staff is extremely rude. Dentist is cocky and demeaning. I twice requested a specific hygienist (who I heard was actually nice and very thorough with the cleaning) and they refused both times, even after once I waiting 7 months to get an apt with her. Also I always had to wait an hour or more for my apt when I would go in. I will not go back here and am currently looking for another dentist.

Just a word of warning - this practice is run by a CORPORATION and has the worst customer service of any medical/dental practice I've ever experienced. I was a new patient and wanted a general cleaning/check up. But they "misunderstood" and became focused on replacing part of a filling that had fallen out a few weeks ago - even though I was having no pain or other issues. My appt was yesterday. I told the hygienist that my bottom front tooth was half composite and asked her to please be careful. During the 1.5 miserable hours I was having the filling replaced, I felt her and Dr. Lewis putting pressure on the exact spot where my composite tooth is. Well, today it broke. When I called both women I spoke with were extremely rude and said I could not "prove" that they caused my tooth to break. Right. I have filed a complaint with the VA Dental Board and will tell everyone I know to avoid this place! Incompetent and only out for the money.

Dr. Leigh used to be in this office, and I personally believe that she was the best dentist I have ever seen, but she has relocated, and they now have Dr Yuou ( I have no idea how to spell that correctly) in her place, and she is wonderful as well. I will not see anyone else. She provides excellent service, and her hygenists have always been very polite.

I was a new patient. I made my appointment, like a good patient and went in early, thinking there would be some time to fill out forms. I sat in the waiting room for 58 minutes! Just to be clear, that is 58 minutes past my scheduled appointment, as well as the 20 minutes I had arrived early! We are in the NRV folks, not the middle of a bustling metropolis and yet, no one said a thing. Countless hygienists and other works past me and still said nothing.



Finally, after 58 minutes a hygienist finally called me in and after taking a series of X-rays, Dr. Lewis came in and introduced himself (that was appreciated). Then, without knowing my history or even asking me anything, he began telling me teeth had to be pulled. I told him very politely that was not going to happen. He got up, took off his gloves and just walked out, never to be seen again!! Had he even asked what was wrong or why I was not planning to have 4 teeth pulled (such as my schedule for major mouth surgery) he would have understood why I could not agree to having 4 teeth pulled.



Dr. Lewis showed a genuine disregard for me as a patient and as a human being. He had no professionalism and no bedside manor. I highly advise anyone needing dental services to seek them elsewhere or risk being treated with complete disregard!
